On the left its a different matter very concerned by both left backs particularly Dossena. Charlie Nicholas made some valid points yesterday and seemed genuinely please when Torres equalised. So don't always shoot the messenger because you may disagree with them but there is no escaping the fact that when Dossena has been called upon he has definitely been found wanting

You may be correct but I honestly believe my opinions of both players will be born out in time.

Riera is of the standard of his transfer fee, a decent squad player, who will do a job. He is OK but ideally we wanted a 'match winner' in that position. Dossena has been very poor and shows no real sign of improving. IMHO he is not as good as Riise even taking into account Riise's limitations

You don't need meaningless statistics, it really very simple, you go to the match, watch him play then decide if he is any good. Dossena is a poor defender, gets caught out of position too often and his distribution leaves a lot to be desired. He has a passion for playing hospital balls
