  1. Probably true but on a wet miserable night it don't look that rosey
  2. I surpose disappointment in summer transfer saga, poor performances and City the new mega rich kid on the block kind of bursts the bubble, coupled with this bloody break in the season
  3. Irrespective if you are or not a Rafa fan, if we are bought out by DIC and not challenging for league at end of season, then IMHO Rafa will be gone. If Hicks still in charge then he will be safe for atleast one more season. FWIW I believe Rafa too cautious, and controlling. However I believe he is a very good cup manager, but I am not sure we will win the prem with him. However after this season unless we attract a very wealthy owner soon, we may never win the league regardless of who is manager. Bit like rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic
  4. Who Dares Wins!!!!
  5. Stupid remarks - I was made up with the Treble. Besides I thought both Rafa's trophies were won on penalties or was that another Liverpool
  6. Doesn't also show a lack in trust to his players that he thinks they are incapable in dealing with a variety of scenarios
  7. excellent points
  8. In the case of Curbishley, its not clear if it was simply transfer budget. More likely with the recent results and fan unrest, the board has lost faith in him. Keegan and Newcastle is a different scenario, I believe their owners is becoming disillusioned with the club and doesn't want to invest any more large sums, as by his own admission, he doesn't believe they will ever challenge for the Champions league place. More so now with the situation at city.
  9. You either don't have a clue or just deliberately misunderstood the point. e.g Rafa's wish list would have cost implications that the manager may not be as concerned about as the Board, that is when difficult decisions are made or not going beyond the managers initial cost assessment for the long term good of the club as they may perceive it
  10. But in the real world Directors are not just there to rubber stamp all managers wishes, else he would be failing in his duty to the club.
  11. Is this another fact
  12. I believe that with unlimited funds, Champions League in three years was a very achievable aim
  13. Not if he disagreed with his style of football or potential signings
  14. The club could easily invite someone like KD to the Board now without the need for 'fan representation'. However how would Rafa feel to answer to such a sucessful former player and manager.
  15. But its SoS who built a stairway of steps with all the various aims when simple clarity of the removal of G&H was all that was require. To me it demonstrates the shortcomings of supporters running a football club. Put a group of supporters together and they will give you numerous add ons to the principle reason for the meeting. SoS have even took on the aim of improving the area around anfield. Laudable as that may be, I can only presume that fans from the anfield area where prominent at your meeting, when in reality that is a job for the Council and a million miles away from change of club ownership
  16. I don't disagree that SoS is a big voice against the owners. I am sceptical about how much notice G&H take of this. But that aside as stated previously G&H out is your initial aim, your long term goal to the club being run by the fans and that I am passionately against. Too much sentiment would be put into what should be cold clinical decisions that in the short term would be unpopular but good for the club in the long term.
  17. reality
  18. As I said it is all conjecture but it does include a logical assessment of what could happen
  19. No they are not my 'main target', if put that way, as I don't believe I have the power to get rid of them. But it is my wish that they would f*ck off and soon.
  20. There is always conjecture regarding future proposals, however putting to one side the method of selecting the fans representative, he would be in a minority on the board, and be subject to considerable pressure to go along with the collective responsibility of the board. Also if he leaked confidential info to the fans he would be excluded from key policy decisions. Hence after one leak he may as well not be there
  21. I do regardless of what you believe, but I don't want fan ownership of the club and I was sceptical about SoS 'love affair' with DIC without any details of their funding of the club. Once bitten twice shy.
  22. The 'liked' bit is petty, but in one respect you are correct, I do have and agenda, much like most people. I do not wish to see supporters running the club, I believe it would be a disaster in the long term, neither do I wish to see a fans representative on the board as they would have no power but would by their presence give, by association fan approval to bad decisions by the board.
  23. No I meant supporters of SoS
  24. ?????
  25. So the lack of overwhelming support is just down to the questions. Head, sand and buried come to mind
