Most times that Lucas played, he played well, but he didn't play often enough to be player of the season. He's not the player he used to be though and Can has came on in leaps and bounds. If I had to pick our best five, I'd pick Milner, Clyne, Firmino, Can and Coutinho in roughly that order.

We definitely underachieved in the league in a year when the competition was not strong. We did great to get to the Europa league final, shame we couldn't win it. We will need to add a couple of players of really good quality to get into the top four next year. Chelsea and Man United will be stronger than they were this year and so will City and Spurs.

Clyne is a massive improvement on Johnson, even if he doesn't offer as much going forward. He is so much more solid and hardworking and still creates some chances. Moreno is useless against most teams and he has gotten away with pathetic mistakes a good few times this season. He has no balls, is stupid and tactically naive, and makes daft tackles in the box that can lead to penalties.

No obvious errors but he was poor, staying rooted to his line instead of coming to claim the ball on a couple of occasions.

Riise was twice the player that Moreno is, and despite the fact that in the end he wasn't good enough, at least he wasn't a coward who bottles out of tackles and turns his back on the ball.

We looked tired after halftime. Milner gave it his best but we need a better passer of the ball in midfield. Coutinho was poor. I thought only Clyne and Sturridge played well for the whole match. The sooner we get rid of Moreno and Mignolet the better.

If we get the next goal, I don't think they will stage a comeback. Can't believe how poor the ref is. We should have had two penalties.

The royal family are parasites. They inspire contempt. Phil Scraton doesn't need their recognition.

I think some people may be forgetting how good Henderson was in 13/14. I don't think he was ever a good choice for captain though, and he didn't seem the same after his foot injury. Can has qualities that Henderson doesn't, such as the ability to dominate the midfield and win the physical battles. He can be one of the outstanding midfielders of his generation.

Fair play to Leicester but the league has been very poor this year. 13/14 does still hurt. We played some amazing football and deserved to win it. The team and the manager had flaws and in the end it was snatched away from us cruelly. It's harsh to blame any single player when many players made mistakes in the matches where we dropped points. I think Klopp will get us there, God willing. As always the manager will stand or fall with his transfers. I have more faith in Klopp than I've had in any manager since Rafa. Our time will come again, soon I hope.

Hopefully the jury having decided unanimously means they can see that justice wasn't done before now. Really hope the correct verdict is reached to honour the dead and bring comfort and closure to their families.

Assist of the season there.

A comfortable win which was made all the more impressive by the amount of first team players rested or injured. You get the sense that the players are adjusted to Klopp's tactics now and know how to deal with different situations. It's good to see Sturridge looking sharper also.

Can Origi Coutinho

We'll miss Emre. Arguably our most improved player this year. He never gets bullied, runs all day, and occasionally plays some fantastic through balls. I think we either go three in midfield with Lucas, Allen and Milner or play 4231 with Lucas and Allen as the two. Milner can play out wide where he is more effective.

That's the impression I had also. Maybe he was a good central midfielder once but he isn't anymore. Out wide he seems to create more and makes less mistakes. With Can and Henderson injured, I think Allen and Lucas should be first choice in central midfield for now.

My oh my. That was amazing.

We may need to win tonight to go through. First goal is crucial obviously. If we play like we did in the first leg and take our chances we'll be okay.

I'd have Joe in the team more often than not. A team with Allen in will have better ball retention and good movement. The fact that he's a small player helps him to be the type of player that he is. It helps him operate well in tight spaces etc.

I'd have him on the bench ahead of Ibe.

Well I sent two emails asking UEFA why they were charging Liverpool with illicit chanting and not Man Utd so I'd like to think I played some small part. They never responded though.
