  1. Feyenoord thrown out of Uefa Cup Tottenham's next Uefa Cup opponents Feyenoord have been excluded from this season's competition. Uefa has banished the Dutch club after the crowd trouble at French side Nancy on 30 November. The group stage game had to be stopped for half an hour because of trouble in the stands as Feyenoord trailed 3-0. Feyenoord were set to play Tottenham in the last 32 knockout stage of the Uefa Cup but Spurs are now likely to get a bye into the next round. Feyenoord had originally been fined £81,000 and handed a suspended sentence to play two matches in an empty stadium. The decision was taken by Uefa's independent Control and Disciplinary board, but European football's governing body appealed the decision for a harsher punishment. Uefa are expected to confirm next week whether Spurs will get a bye, which appears the most plausible option. More to follow. Article Here
  2. I was in 105, row 23 today and i have absolutely no voice left... and man is it worth it. When I was there there were tears coming down from my eyes (not because i had a cold, but the emotion) my arms ached but refused to go down, my voice was turning into a smokers throat but it still carried on. The proudest day to be a Liverpool fan, everything about it from the leaflet explaining what to do, the justice chants, the look on everyones faces, the whole stadium... I really dont know what to say, I am just simply amazed. A credit to Motson as well, explaining to everyone what the protest was about... Will remember this day for the rest of my life, I'm getting a plaque made up with the pictures and ticket stub on. YNWA - JFT96.
  3. Sounds like a speech, at the time of writing where you sitting in a tuxedo with a glass of wine raised?
  4. I certainly noticed his confidence improve after half time, he must of eaten his shreddies. In the first half he was contempt with getting the ball and let finnan overlap, in the 2nd half he was happy to do it himself... Well played.

    Look at this

I was sitting in my mates house, carling cans crushed in hand before the goal, with an evertonian who had been taking the piss all the way since W.Hams first. Upon scoring our reaction was similar to that of Liverbob's, jump all over him whilst he sat there fuming with anger. Aaaah... good times

  8. Aw, And there was me thinking that Operation Anfield Exercise was Benitez's cunning ways of saying we're going to score. But seriously, if you look at the gates near to the Kop (both sides) you can see the big doors swing open. Im just waiting for the day when a load of people are on the other side and come running in
  9. Was in a small snippet in the Echo earlier this week. Nothing too directed, just saying he'd pull out over claims he had "prior engagements" and then also said another source claimed "It was because he feared for his general safety" (or something to that effect, cant remember..)
  10. Not sure about leaving, but the other week i saw some bloke come in about 10 mins after the 2nd half...
  11. Only just got onto that. Did he get paid for that article? Even basic english skills are lacking

  17. confident (or luck) when we were under pressure in our own box to give a nice lil' flick to alonso to calmly play it out of the box.
  18. lol, Ally McCoist was joking about how he spent all the time on the motorway coming up with jokes, and now he's got nothing left to say.
  19. No.... ITV just said "Liverpool remain unchanged for tonight..." So basically, team on saturday
  20. Offish
  21. Season ticket for me. Cant really get to away games due to work, i can only just make the home games too! I try to get to as many tuesday night champs league games as I can, but for wednesday ones its a no go. Work again Pisses me off working on a wednesday because not only do i have to get the scores from teletext, but i get all the fans phoning up for taxis telling me how good the game was.
  22. Thats what happens when you goto away games in different counties. Carra seems to be living in a different time zone, must still be august in his head.
  23. Shame they can't write about the good things and only focus on negative aspects. Suprise they ran that story, I would of expected them to just completely reverse it and say Smith can't wait to get revenge on JAR.
  24. Maybe not, was just a figure some one quoted earlier. It would, if true, however be more than Emirates. Coca-Cola is a massive company, known in every country around the world, so if they were to buy the naming rights it wouldn't be for cheap. I agree though with Edinjapan, if coke want to keep selling their product then they would not sponsor a single team. Thats why they did the lower divisions instead.
  25. Good find, a pretty cool read.
