I kind of agree with Kieran, if the top few teams were closer (i.e not 3 wins apart) and we lost, then I definately would still be annoyed and probably putting my head into my pillow screaming. However, I felt this title was over a good few weeks back, and we were battling for 3rd. I looked at the league before, and Arsenal have 2 games in hand and are one point behind. So now I feel we're battling for 4th place instead (as usual). As long as we give Arsenal a run for 3rd place, I'm happy. On the other hand though, Nebraska is right... we lost a lot today, our unbeaten run, our 0 goals against streak... Bring on the c**** in the Champions League. Dominating England is one thing, beating Europe is another.

So if Benitez got those two players, they wouldn't be as good as they are now? I don't believe that for one second. If Benitez got those two players, they'd be just as good - if not better. Jose "Lets appear in the papers every week to get people talking about me" Mourinho is a good coach, with shed loads of cash. Benitez is an excellent coach with one small wallet... We'll see whos the better 'coach' in the next few years, when the playing field is levelled (pun intended in comparison to football, yes it was bad but im not ashamed) and these two Yankies put more money into the club.

I agree with JS. I dont think we should have 96 empty seats, but perhaps something less 'out there' kind of thing. Perhaps a subtle touch to the stadium... 96 burning flames around the top... or perhaps just 96 painted flames around some of the directors boxes.

I can see your point. I too am happy the takeover is finished, however I wish there werent any takeovers on such a scale. I fear, as you said, that the traditions of domestic football may be lost. Would they set up a super league? I'm pretty sure a lot of them would, however I don't think it will happen. I don't believe the mid/lower-table clubs will take to this decision in a good way if the FA/UEFA did decide to do it. Lets not forget, these other clubs do have a big impact on the Premiership, it will only take a decent few of them to put a halt to things if they were really against it. The press also I believe wouldn't agree with it, and the amount of bad publicity it would generate would hopefully put ideas such as that out of the FA/UEFA's head.
