  1. Is this thread still going on? They taunted him, he gestured back, they got angry - good, shows passion which is what football is about. As for people saying "Burn him!" it is nice to see them backing their team through and through, he played on the right wing most of the game, back tracking etc, is it his fault if he's played in the wrong position? Ok, fair enough when he was in the centre and he never passed to Kewell, what about when Garcia did the same? Wheres the thread about him? Ok, it wasn't as obvious as Cisse's, but he's had more games. There was one incident when Kewell had it on the left, plays it to Cisse who steps over it (no one post a sarcy comment about "he missed it") and it's gone to Gerrard who plays it through to Garcia, is that not showing awareness? Even if it was the slightest glimpse of it, if he had more starts then maybe we'd see more of it? As calamitymaud said, no he mightn't be the worlds best footballer, but if Houllier was still in charge and was tayloring the team around Cisse + Gerrard then maybe we'd see a different player?
  2. Indeed, keepers don't normally get into the game properly 'til late 20's early 30's. An excellent buy, as was said before, when the ball is played into the box you know it's going to be either caught or punched to safety.
  3. Im all for the idea and it shows that racism really doesn't have a place in football. However i fear it won't solve all the problems and it will be a case of the minority ruining it for the rest.
  4. "And so ladies and gentleman... for the fifth time... this is how you tie an invisible rope into a knot!"

  6. His contract finishes '08 doesn't it? If I'm right then I stick by my prediction he'll be loaned out for another season. Give him one final chance in another team to prove he can play without tinkering too much with the current partnership. If he can prove he can play then i believe his contract will be renewed, if not he'll be sold off to the club who loaned him Ofcourse if his contract expires the end of this season, then what i said is just aload of bull s**t and he's gone.
  7. I agree with that order, except i believe Pongolle will be above the line, but he will be loaned out for another season. I've liked Cisse from day one, and even more so from those pictures in the Champions league final where he was trying to encourage our supporters with a few minutes left. Unfortunately though I believe he is gone as I don't believe Rafa liked him from the start. It seems a bit harsh critising him when he's played out of position without a decent stretch of games... he played up front yesterday and setup 2 goals, so theres something going ok there... (don't start coming back at me saying it's only one game and it was luck, im feeling frail and vulnerable sticking up for some one who is disliked by 90% of the people ).

  9. lol, it's vital the fans know. Liverpoolfc.tv says the game is sold out, that means every ticket, not just the online ones doesn't it? Surely a few thousand people won't not turn up :S

  11. lmao yea, i'd throw in some money to get that made!
  12. Do you think? Sure supporter pressure would have something to do with it, but I honestly think that they do care. When was contact made to the support group, June? It seems they thought of this well in advance, along with perhaps a few eagle eyed supporters. I hope it is moved though, especially seeing as a few slots have been freed they have no reason not to surely?
  13. Read the post above and you will see i was not gloating. I apologise if my choice of words were not the best.
  14. Im not being smug, i was merely wondering if after all they said about Liverpool they still agree with? They seemed to jump to the conclusion that Liverpool didn't give a rats ass about the families. I would never be smug over such a sensitive matter, thats just being extremely disrespectful.
  15. I wonder if the people who were hating Liverpool fot playing on this date are eating their words?

  17. If you take the train/bus you can still get to Blackburn? I just believe Liverpool should play on April 15th as their mark of respect.
  18. The kick off is at 5:15 at blackburn and memorial services are at 3 O'Clock, Blackburn is possibly 20 - 30 minutes away from Liverpool? I don't really see the problem. Those who turned up at Hillsborough and unfortunately lost their lives turned up to see a game of football, something they loved. What better way to pay your respects than doing something they would of loved to of seen. EDIT: Ok, AA route planner says it's 55 minutes, but my point still counts.
  19. I agree Steve101 - I can't say i was directly affected by Hillsborough, but I do feel for any one who lost a relative/friend there, as well as the person who lost their life. By no means do I mean to offend any one but I believe there is nothing more, not sure if this is the right word to use but, satisfying to see what 30,000+ people in one stadium with both teams around the centre circle all in a minutes silence, or better yet a minutes applause. I agree the match should not be played away and would maybe have been more fitting at Anfield but the event happened at a football match and the best way to pay respect to that is to play a football match.
  20. Good on him, I've always liked Cisse and this will probably have a few people starting the i hate/i like cisse argument again, but I do feel sort of sorry for him when he is blamed for not scoring. Yes he's a striker and should score, but hows he going to do that if he plays on the wing? One other thing i like is the way he can't even play right wing, yet gets in some decent crosses, but the majority of the time wins us a corner.
