fabio has been errrrrr fab since hes come on, made a huge difference, we were pretty crap up till then.. insua worries me...seems a bit of the pace
-
please tell me the games in which he has put in a good strong peformance, im talking last season and this current one.....and no not the dodgy 5 minutes where he comes on and makes a couple of good touches.. Games where he started..........please name me them
-
with babel it might be because of the flashes of brilliance we have seen from him, that he is a full international and we played a decent amount of money...so yes in a way..he should be singled out because every time i see him in the starting line up...im pretty confident he will be s*** and provide nothing...thats what its come to with him
-
hold on...i must`ve missed the good games?? I havent seen Babel put in a decent performance in 2 years....
-
another great opportunity today and yet again...he blew it.....f`king weak hearted man who doesnt deserve to be in our team, let alone squad... please go away......hes had plenty of chances.
-
he makes mistakes, it happens... torres and gerrard were not fit, with masch not fit to start... so shouldnt we have gone with the regular formation and just drop players in?? at least it would have kept the foundations?? instead we went to 3 at the back with a wingback system, considering rafa himself said he didnt have much time to coach as players were away.....why go with that crazy formation?!??!? it would have been quite easy to put a real striker up top...ie n`gog or voro (not great options but at least they should know their job) with benyoun behind.....kuyt right, reira left (was he injured???) instead our whole shape changed and we looked a complete mess, yes far too many average players out there, but still...add that to a formation we havent played this season and we got what we deserved Awful performance...

id much rather start this game with a proper striker....n`gog has done well on the occassions we have seen him, definetly has an eye for goal......id sit bennyoun in behind him, reckon those two would like well...far better than the erratic Babel.. ------------------reina------------ johnson--carra-----sktel----aurellio -------------------------------------- kuyt----masch---lucas-------reira-- ----------------benny--------------- -----------------n`gog--------------

Insua - has done ok...but has really been shown up in the past 2 games.....up against true quality and his inexperience shows...definetly one for the future, not ready yet and with aurellio fit....id start fab at left back.. carragher...sorry but another poor performance, thought he should have been following anelka into the box for the first goal....he let him go and he scores.. and our passing from the back is awful with insua and carra mostly to blame...
-
im not confident with throwing agger in alongside carra with the threat of drogba....dont think either can handle him.. id rather the mad greek
-
wont happen, but id rather carra was dropped than sktel.. think carra has been awful this season and at fault for most of the goals conceeded.
-
doubt we will see any major changes....putting agger right back in the side would be crazy in my opinion BUT i would put the mad greek in....he can handle drogba
-
paul walsh at watford lives long in the memory.....live on tv, really bad pitch...,.barry davis comentating if memory serves me correct
-
i saw the title of the thread and thought "ian rush against villa" right away....my fav hat trick
-
think we are being slightly harsh on some of our players.. 1. kuyt his socks off as usual...was all over the pitch 2nd half 2.torres - showed some fight got into decent positions, gave the defenders a proper game 3.reina...didnt do anything wrong, took control on crosses
-
well acording to this from the official prem site.. 1 Emiliano Insua Liverpool 165 cm 2 Aaron Lennon Tottenham 165 cm 3 Shaun Wright-Phillips Manchester City 166 cm 4 Steed Malbranque Sunderland 168 cm 5 Paul Scholes Man Utd 168 cm 6 Miroslav Stoch Chelsea 168 cm 7 Carlos Tevez Man city 168 cm 8 Jermain Defoe Portsmouth 169 cm 9 David Di Michele West Ham Utd 169 cm dunno if thats correct or not?? i knew he was small, but didnt think he was smaller than some of those listed above...
-
reckon masch will be back for this... highly expect the following team ------------reina------------ johns---carr----skrt---insua ------------------------------ kuyt---masch-lucas-benny- ----------gerrard------------ ----------torres--------------
-
f`king simple really carra is definetly off form, for me was at fault for the goal on sat skrtel is still getting back to full fitness insua is small johnson aint much cop at the back lucas is no alonso (alonso was excellent defending set pieces)
-
lucas did ok,as he has done all season... the question is.. is lucas good enough for a premiership winning side....??? no...of course not. Hes merely a stop-gap and doing an ok job until aquilani starts...
-
being honest, i think hes a horrible defender...but f`king fantastic on the ball going forward....he does have pace which does help at the back....so i think we can cope, kinda reminds me of dani alves.. id rather him at the back than arbeloa...saying that, i feel it means carra needs to do extra work to get across and cover.

the only thing in carras favour right now is his commitment/passion....ie..that block against west ham yesterday, the rest of his game is a step below what we have been used to in the past.. do we have any other options right now?? well we have our mad greek......who id like to see midweek alongside sktel (who needs a run of games) saying all that, i cant see Carra ever being dropped...
-
thought we did pretty well....started poorly, but then took control after the first goal... Thought gerrard and lucas did a good job in middle, though were not up against much it has to be said.. What alarmed me most was how easily torres got brushed off the ball by 2 fairly average center backs......havent really seen that happen much since his time at anfield, still hes definetly off the boil at the mo....that wont last long though. degen - good to finally see him...and he looked fairly good in his brieft time on the pitch.. reina - 8 a couple of excellent saves..had a great start to the season johnson - 7 did ok, looked knackered which is why he came off 2nd half.... insua - 7 quietly asured! looks likes he been around forever skrtel - 7 solid, a couple of dodgy moments but hopefully will be soon back to his best carra - 7 easy day kuyt - 8 what can you say...has become a vital player for us...outstanding workrate today benny - 9 MOM was everywhere gerrard 7 solid lucas 8 got stuck in well reira 6 fairly average, nothing spectacular....id like to him get round the back more, something we saw from his early days but not so much since torres 6 i`ll probably get some stick for marking 6 out of 10, but i honestly didnt think he had a great game today...had a number of chances to run at the defence and was easily shrugged of the ball..... subs.. degen 5 looks fairly good ngog 5 i like this guy...reckon hes far better than many think voro - well....how do i mark him?? a couple of nice passes..one which included the goal so a 6....but hey that chance at the end...oh dear oh dear....and ya know..i just kne whe was gonna miss that , as im sure did 44,000 other people in the stands..

dossena to come off the bench and score.......again.....wait and see
