He did it brilliantly last season, but yeah he's never really played "the game" with refs. He shouldn't have to though. -
They should in theory. But what happens if refs, knowing they'll be questioned about it after games, start to take the less controversial option for most decisions? It's a good idea, but it needs some careful thought before it can happen.

I'll agree with you about tonight, in general, but I thought Aquilani showed that he was willing to try certain things and that showed a confidence in his own abilities that was, hopefully, only scuppered by a lack of match sharpness. It's far, far too early to be making judgements on him.

Think he's done alright scored a few goals, he was at the u20's world cup for a while and scored a few there as well. It's a one season loan, but we have the option to recall him, I think. If I was Rafa I'd be seriously considering recalling him.
