He does sound a little thick, his vocabulary doesn't seem to have expanded beyond the words "great" and "unbelievable" but who cares?!?! He's a footballer! Carra and Stevie aren't exactly Mastermind material, they've just had a whole careers worth of experience in front of a camera and a microphone. Andy hasn't got that just yet.

Couldn't agree more, I don't understand why people are so keen to put him down.

Love him to bits, despite his technical limitations he's one of the most important players in our squad. He's a good finisher (not a great finisher, but pretty bloody good), he never, ever stops working and he links up well with the players around him. A real team player too, and can imagine he's a really good influence on the dressing room. In the absence of Carroll or Suarez, I'd be more than happy to see him up front next season, provided we have adequate reinforcements at RM......

Thought he was fantastic last night. Bossed the midfield while Lucas went about his job quietly. I'd never been that impressed by him on the basis of the odd game he's played in the past, but it just goes to show what a run in the team and having the confidence of the manager can do for a player.

I know, only 183 goals, what an underacheiver.....

De Rossi and Schweinsteiger are both excellent players, but also both suspect temperament wise and Schweinsteiger especially is frustratingly inconsistent. And more of a winger than a 'sitting' midfielder.
