    He could play for us again as we're one of the two he's played for so far. He *may* also be able to play for a 3rd team in a league (like US) that isn't aligned to the standard European "August to May" season.

    It wouldn’t be in this year’s PSR anyway - it’s a loan for this season (with a loan fee we’ll still receive) and the actual transfer and the money in next years. Can’t see it actually affecting our position to do stuff this window

    Only with an overseas club - would have to wait for the summer to sign with an English club Agreed. If he'd split the playing time between Kerkez and Robbo a bit better - especially early season - I don't think Robbo would have thought about leaving mid-season. As it is, he's got a World Cup in the summer and will want to be in form for that.

    I’m happy if the club reckon a player like Guehi becomes s***e value if our favourite sports dopers pay through the nose. What we shouldn’t be doing is using it as an excuse for no other signings. The money is there if we need it

    The summer spend was mitigated by loads of sales. The club has the money, the club needs the players, there’s no financial excuse for us not to be signing them.

    The club can afford to spend about £200m a year net on its current budget and still break even. We have an enormous line of credit we can use if we need to. Last summer’s spending is not - and shouldn’t be used as - an excuse.
