Yup. The CB we should be signing in this window is Gomez long term replacement. In the summer we have a call to make on Konate, so another coming in is a distinct possibility - that could be Guehi if he's still available.

No - but what he was doing was creating a pathway for players like Kelleher, Jones, Elliott & Quansah to get first team experience. Even if they don't become first team regulars, every team needs squad role players. If you're getting them out of the Ressies for free, that's money that you can use on the squad elsewhere or you can sell to bring in revenue.
