i wont tell lies and say im a season ticket holder. im irish, so a bonafide OTT. but i go over on average 3 times a year, of all the games ive been to, the only ones with a good atmosphere where the champions league ones, (the chelsea semi in 2005 was amazing ) but your average league game against the likes of Wolves, Wigan or Fulham, are nothing special. I wouldnt say you could hear a pin drop, but when you're not sitting in the kop, it really isnt that noisy. then there's the seats. Granted im a tall fella, im 6'2, but the seats are not comfortable. Now before you'se all jump down my throat with "well you pay to see a game, not for an armchair". i still dont want to pay to have back ache by the end of 90 minutes. they need an American approach to match days, dont most fans in the U.S go to games hours before they start for general entertainment of some sorts. be it even for food etc...... thats what they need to do with the new anfield.
