thats pretty damning isnt it. our management team really are a pile of s**** arent they. seriously, imagine wasting the money we have. There's not one other club in the premiership that could have done as worse as us with that money. they all deserve the sack

if there's one thing we've been guilty of its actually the opposite of being impatient, we've been too patient with our managers. Souness, Evans, Houllier all had at least 1 year too many, if not 2.

to be fair to Ginsoak though, he was the most sought after manager of the time,he had won everything with Aberdeen, including a Uefa Cup. He was pretty much the Mourinho of his day, and as much as sickens me to say it, he earned his few years grace with the mancs. i posted on another forum that i think we needed a manager similar to Ginsoak last year. We needed a manager that came in with a record of winning, so that record could earn him at least 2 years grace with the fans. Similar to Rafa when he joined, Rafa had just won La Liga for his 2nd time in 3 years. Rafa was invincible at the time, the board believed in him 100%, and the fans believed in him 100%, he had such a big reputation that he could have sold Steven Gerrard and the fans would have aceppted it. We need one of these managers that has won a major league somewhere in Europe, and we also need a manager that has the self belief to truly change the club. we need a new Bob Shankly

I was saying to a mate of mine a few weeks back that I honestly believe, team for team, that we have the worse transfer record in the premier league history. For 20 years now we sign 1 good player for every 10 bad. The even more annoying thing is 90% of the time everybody can see "said player" is s****, yet our managers and scouts, the supposed experts fail to see it

id agree with that. dont get me wrong, i dont want to criticise what we did today. But the fact still remains that we actually didnt play very well against an average championship side. our whole team lack pace in attack. I dont mean men that can run quickly, i mean more the level of intensity that we play at. Our midfield get the ball and pass it slowly too often, then the whole attack just moves along at a snails pace. obviously with the level of players we have we'll win a fair few games, but we really should be moving the ball and the attackers a lot more quickly than we do. im not going to get carried away by one cup victory, because the fact remains we're still miles behind a consistant threat in the league
