    Ludicrous

can t disagree with the 5 points listed
  2. some of the c**k suckers on here are simply disappointed by the result and believe that more positive action should have been taken in trying to nick this one. no one saying we r s*** or that rafa s s*** simply we should have had a more positive approach especially in the second half. are we a group of inferior liverpool fans?
  3. exactly, what i would have done. give the midfield, more personality, range of passing and creativity and put keane on instead of lucas. you cant play gerrad upfront with xabi missing.
  4. withoout xabi today, midfield looked clueless. most sensible thing imo in the second half was to bring babel instead of yossi, torres for kuyt but also keane insteasd of lucas and restore gerrard in central midfield. dont agree with rafa on this one, but football is a matter of opinions.
  5. my heart says barnes, but dalglish is what we really need at the moment. if keane produces a quarter of what he produced we would be sorted. dalglish and barnes are currently replaced by keane and babel. here' s hoping.... just imagine king kenny and digger in this team...
  6. babel is a big game player. he scored vs chelsea, a*** and united. if he didnt get the winner vs united this season we would nt be harping our title chances. he scored 10 goals last season, mainly coming on as a sub. he s our most promising youngster. he a regular in the dutch side. he s stong fast and has a hell of a shot. he just turned 22 FFS. ATM he s just lacking match fitness he s short of confidence.we would be crazy to sell him ths summer. come june 2010 and he still hasnt progressed and we may talh but give the lad a break! with all due respect to nabil, c'mon.
  7. Rafa: "We do not need to go into the transfer market, we are certainly not desperate to do so. If we find we need something we will try, but it is always hard in this window and very expensive." link smokescreen, skint, truth? we need no one to win it?

  9. exactly. was injured. is physically fit again, perhaps not match fit, as far as i know.
  10. didnt expect such a strong starting 11. no space for the likes of nemeth and hammil
  11. hammil just returned back from a loan spell. should at least make the bench imo.
  12. kuyt, albeit his workate and admittingly his importance in the team when we must play a very disciplined game ironically is an avreage player. right midfield is that department, where liverpool needs to streghten the most. rieira is a good player who unlike kuyt has the ability to make things happen. babel has the potential to become world class. would rather send him a season on loan assuring myself that he s in fact a flop, than sell him and bang my head vs the wall everyday watching him develop into a world class player. you need a mixture of everything in a team, but your wide players greatest assest rarely must be their respective workate
  13. cavallieri arbeloa, skretl, agger, insua el zhar, mash, lucas, babel ngog torres Subs: Hansen, darby, plessis, yossi, hammil, keane, nemeth
  14. Valenica and Johnson would certainly increase the pace in our team. Valenicia in particular would be a good addition. he s pacey and strong but may not come cheap. a swap + cash deal with pennant could be the most probable possibility.
  15. RLINKafa says signings are unlikely Published by tom1892 on January 1, 2009 Rafael Benitez doesn’t think he will be signing anyone in the mid season transfer window as it may be too expensive and unnecessary. The Liverpool manager who is recovering from two minor operations reveals that there won’t be any new signing in January. “It will be difficult to bring anyone in January because we have a good squad. “To bring in anyone better than what we’ve got isn’t easy and could be expensive,” Benitez as quoted on BBC Sport. The Spaniard has said he wont be buying anyone but their are still strong rumours of former Liverpool striker Emile Heskey making a return to Anfield. Another rumour surrounding Anfield is that out-of-favour defender Andrea Dossena could be on his way back to Italy after just half a season with the Merseyside club.
  16. right side
  17. his uncle. just annoyed with the amount of unwarrented stick he s gettin.
  18. no i hate to patronise. from the pitch imho he works to his utmost as any other liverpool player. what do you think is wrong with his attitude on the pitch, please enlighten me. granted he had some shocking performances, but being aware of his potential, of what he already contributed in his young, short, inexperienced carrer at anfield, simply does not warrant that much restriction on his amount of playing time this season. i do not blame him for being worried and am not surprised by him trying to seek a loan back to ajax. he is aware that more playing time for him is crucial at this stage of his career. I am 100% certain that rafa knows what he doing and is evident that he still rates the player as otherwise he would have allowed him to go on loan. what annoys and what i dont understand is this aminosity towards him and that s what i m simply annoyed about.
  19. the last couple of games we have really showed that we can play easy-flowing football, while remaining solid at the back, (albeit reina today who, uncharartistically at times scared the s*** out of me) movement off the ball from the team has been excellent and the team seems gelled together. anyway feels a proper team. every player on the pitch knows his role, duties and the decision making is superb by each player. May this form long continue. I wish we were playing maure tomorrow. we d stuff the feckers!
  20. belhadj of pompey would be a great addition for the LB position
  21. i fully disagree that babel doesnt put the effort in. he ALWAYS tracks back whenever he loses possession. he tries to make things happen when on the pitch. this annoying, ignorant attitude some of our fans are launching at him is bluntly emerging from the sole fact, that rafa has decided not to play him as much as some of our fans expected him to play. he scored the winning goal vs maure this season, coming off the bench! i am not going to enter into the merits as to ehy rafa has decided not to give our most promising youngster more playing time, cos one possible explanation could be that rafa expects a lot from him and he is trying to teach him the hard way that he must train harder and play better to be able to cement his place in the first 11. otherwise i cannot think of another plausible reason as to why he was not given a run of games. Frankly, i can understand babel being worried about his short amount of playing time. he is surely aware that to improve it is crucial for him to play more matches, that is why he was trying to be loaned back to ajax. this must not be interpreted soley as lack of heart, passion etc on his part but may be a genuine worry for him that although these past two years he contributed much more to the team than the likes of nabil el zhar, they still seem ahead of him in rafa s current pecking order. i am sick and tired with these simple, false, invoked, inusults he s recieving most probably inferred by his lack of playing time, and this, when he s trying his best to prove the contrary to us. granted he did perform awfully in some of his 10 min cameos, but there were games were other players played awful the whole match and yet they still the start the next game. why not try to support the young man a bit more, eh?

  25. Many of their key players suffered long-term injuries (rocisky, fabregas, eduardo, etc) and never replaced sol campbell and more recently flamini. wenger has done a tremendous job at arsenal, with a very limited budget. with two good buys in defence and defensive midfield they would be on track again. in any case if he gets sacked i would offer him the job as chief scout of LFC
