why do we alway leave it until the last f***ing minute???????? f*** parry.

from spurs i d only take pavyluchenko. lennon at 21 not a bad option. he is a very direct player, who loves to take on players...' a ball carrier with pace'. something we terribly lack down the wings. would prefer we got lennon as part of the deal, then end with nothing. in summer we l have the kuwaitis anyway...

Steven Gerrard is simply FANTASTIC. I take him over kaka every day of the year. he has everything. cant think of one more asset i could add to his football repertoire. long may he ll remain our beloved captain.

well done to yossi today. inmho he is pushing a place on the right wing vs lesser teams, instead of kuyt who s graft and workrate is more siuted to games such as today. when we need to attack and score that goal. yossi is a better option on the right than kuyt

very good performance from the team. i am made up! well done u red man!

i do genuinly believe that rafa loves the club. he states that he wants to leave a legacy like shanks or bob s. he is certainly one of the top managers around. if even his dear fans turn against him, he might just be pushed out... be careful what you wish for i agree that he must have total and exclusive control over the transfer budget once it is set out.

so, why the hell was keane bought?
-
no player is bigger than the club. i m with rafa all the way. if he wants keane shipped then so be it, he s the manager, it s his job to steady the ship. but am entitled to question who and why decided to spend 20mill keane, if rafa doesnt rate him?

no we r not. look at manure squad and look at ours. nuff said.

the tripe that is circulating on the net at this moment from "SUPPOSED" liverpool fc "SUPPORETERS" is abysmal and for once i am starting to feel ASHAMED i am a liverpool fan. the tripe on sites such as 'this is anfiled' is downright crazy as is this thread. MODS PLEASE CLOSE THIS THREAD. THERE S ENOUGH TRIPE CIRCULATING RIGHT NOW WITHOUT US ADDING TO THIS SORRY PITIFUL SIGHT, CONJURED BY OUR OWN FANS!

think florist got it right.

we win we lose together. to rafa s credit we are genuinly challenging for the title. perhaps to his fault we MAY have some more points, but honestly: when you compare manure s whole squad to ours they should be 20 points ahead of us. let s just face it we dont have what it takes. the squad is simply not good enough. direct answer to this thread: sacking the manager would be complete madness. any another manager in our financial situation cant do better. by sacking him we would just be disrupting the progress we have made so far.

ok so you are admitting he s more talented than kuyt. you are also inducing the fact that he has potential which has not been developed yet. lets take a look at the facts. Last season he had an encouraging season. he must have had the ambition that he will be able to hold a regular place this season. however after returning from internationl duty he find himself benched with a new winger in the side who was playing really well. he now had much more pressure to do well if he wanted to earn his place. he was limited to 10 mins cameos getting three whole starts subbed in almost each of them until this very day with another rookie (el zhar) getting the nod before him at times. his confidence is low. he never had the opportunity to play two consecutive matches and he is certainly not match fit. so now i understand that he is low in confidence and is not match fit but has the talent. he is also right footed and thus he may do better on the right, but he cant get a regular chance down that right-hand side either. then you throw him to play in a derby match and some fans expect this 22 year old to set the world on fire, so they "get on his back" you must be ficking joking! our main problems are the lack of creativity down the right wing and what most of you can think of is "sell babel, he ss****" Babel is the only possible candidate out of this squad to improve our right side, so inmho it would be more beneficial for all to support him. sporiadic appearances are not going to improve his form. he needs consecutive starts and i find no harm whatsover in rafa deciding to bech kuyt (who at his age will not improve) at anfield and play him instead. gaining his confidence is key to his form. confidence comes by playing a number of consecutive games. you may now understand why he wont try to get past tony f***ing hibbert. and before you give me the brainless footballer tripe, i ask you to take a look at the goal he scored vs derby last season which has the guile and craft of a real talent.

certainly at anfield vs mid-table teams. We rely too much on gerrard on torres to produce the rest of the goods for the whole team. we just lack a little bit of invention. we need an alternative option from somewhere. from where? only possibility is in your 20mill signing and an expensive prospect. try make em feel wanted, give them their confidence back. it s a win-win situation in my opinion because with two holding midfielders, a work-horse on the right and a spluttering left-winger we are too one-dimensional.
-
masch and alonso got in each other s way a lot today. everton was reluctant to attack so it was pointless to have two holding midfielders in front of your defence.
-
against lesser teams at anfield, i think we may afford to risk a bit more. gerrard has enough game intelligence to choose the right moments in a match when to bomb forawrad and when not.
-
i think that any manager must have complete control of the transfer fund. the board sets the budget then the manager spends it as he wishes. either you fully trust your manager or you dont.
-
and what would impede hom from feeding both torres and keane??? he has enough energy so far to play box to box.
-
how much is "enough"? quantify "enough". you state he has had enough chances... i dont think he completed a full 90mins twice in a row, let alone he had enough chances. look at manure with berbatov. he was pants in the beging yet whisket nose stuck with him at the expense of leaving an on form tevez on the bench and now they re reaping the benefits.
-
inmho his only problem is his lack of confidence, atm
-
he s not been given much of a chance yet you know he s not good enough...??
-
your post is irrelevant. Gerrard will still score and link up with torres even if he s deployed in central midfield. his bursting runs from midfiled are part and parcel of his game. only difference is that we may be more exposed at the back when masch is benched and keane given the nod . it s up to rafa to decide where and when he wants to use a more of an attacking formation keane was bought to give us another creative alternative.
-
To be fair to babel, his confidence is low. he cant be match fit. i also would like to see him given a few games on the right wing. his favourite foot is his right so why always play him on the left?
-
i just wish rafa would give this idea a chance riera (lw), babel (rw) keane in the hole and torres upfront. Babel s favorite foot is his right so i cant see any logic in playing him on the left wing. You cant expect him to have a brilliant game after quite a long period on the bench and he still low in confidence. Keane must be the creative outlet. that s why we paid a 20 mill for him. Otherwise i really dont see any options with the current crop to play more creative, cutting-edge football.
-
, pick him this game, drop him the next couple, then play him a another half hour. yes it s really going to do his confidence and form wonders of good. a consecutive run of games aongside torres is what he needs and considering he was pants vs the blus**** in the league, considering it s the fa cup and we again playing them, he would be aching to redeem himself, thus inmho would have made sense to start him for this one.
