he first cap came in 2008. since then he played 10 times for spain...

1) As long as he sacrifices himself for the team, like every other lfc player, he can dive all he wants for all i care... 2) i think you forgot ARBELOA s performances in an LFC shirt. they were so good he became a regular for Spain and was bought by Real Madrid. Arby is a very good player but Johnson is world class. we need that world class player on the left wing. player able to take on defenders and our clear-cut chances would largely increase. Yossi is a very good player.

Following Johnson s displays for us, the doubts and questions raised by many, that Rafa overpiad for his services seem pretty futile now dont they?? In fact i gratify every cent of the whole 17mill we paid on him! We have one of the best right full-backs in the world playing for us. Arbeloa was no slouch, he was a very good player for us but johnson is miles ahead and is a massive improvement. We just need a star left winger. A player who loves to take on defenders and beat them easily. I know we have very good players in riera and yossi on the left but they are ARBELOAS and we need a JOHNSON on the left. I know many on here hate his guts but Robben fits the bill perfectly. 20 mill or less he ll be tearing down our left wings.

Rafa did wonders no doubt about that! may have committed slight mistakes alond the road but who doesnt... On such a limited budget we have improved a lot and are an increasing threat to premiership champions. With a slightly generous hand no one would be able to stop us. but for one reason or another our money dries up fast..

As Rafa says here "We had some money, but I will not talk about figures. It is something I have to talk with the club about." We had some money. me thinks rafa was promised that he will keep all the monies generated from sales of players, but such promise was never kept bu our beloved G&H!

considering everything, i say it is about the same. we may have slightly improved attacking wise with johnson and aquilani but at the same time we may have lost a bit defensively.

Intentionally or maliciously Moores made one of the worst deals for LFC. Basically he f***ed up big time. Thus he s a c*** of the highest order. WE (Poor Rafa and his fellas) search the market like wild men in the ever-fainting hope of clinching BARGAIN Deals while our most fierce competitors just splash the dosh around, buy whoever they whim about and strengthen their squad even more. If we r really interested in signing players in Downing s calibre we will never win the Premiership. Our ambition, spending and pulling power must be vastly greater than players like Downing. I have heard rumours about Napoli s; Hamsik, Lavezzi and Tevez which I like. Currently we have the squad. All we need is to add more quality. To add quality generally you need to spend at least 20mill on each player. Thus unless Rafa has to spend 40mill on a striker and a winger we will fall short of winning it again next year. If we do add a quality striker and a winger, then we surely have a greater chance of winning it. G&H must give Rafa some serious dosh!

Also, the fact that we dont have enough flair upfront, compels Rafa to focus on the team being solid rather than in the attacking mode. that s why i think he may come out as too negative at times.

as i already said, it s not that simple. i m sure rafa is not stupid. i m sure he knows that we dont have enough quality upfront. they why doesnt he? do you think he s daft? Do you know if he was allowed to spend his whole transfer budget on one player? dont you think that every summer there are other areas you must address? for eg. we only have one right-back (arby) surely we will buy an RB next summer, say 4/5 mill? if you have 25mill as your kitty then... lacking quality players up front means that you cant beat the dross because you fail to impose your game on your opponents and when they sit park the bus in front of their goal, you either miss sitters or you don t create enough. vs big teams it is us who leave the initiative to the opponents and because we are very solid at the back, we might hold out and nick that goal, catching the opposite team off-guard.

It s not that simple mate. for eg, next summer priority is upfront but he needs to buy a right full-back as well etc. he has had to this for 4 years, then agian we dont know if someone like parry impeded rafa from blowing much of the transfer budget on a single player.

what money? rafa is given 25-30 mill a year and he had to build a whole team. granted there were some mistakes but so did other managers including whiskey-nose. theres s a big differnce in being given a huge sum at once to spend than the sum being given to you in yearly installments,
