£7million Gudjohnsen to spark Liverpool title bid? LINK IMHO he would be a fantastic signing for us. Just what we need a player who can play in the hole behind torres, who would add cerativity to our forward play, and is a proven premier league player.
-
1. Mascherano 2. Hyypia 3. Gerrard
-
Tonight would have preferred gerrard on the right and alonso instead in centre mid, instead one of passenger kewell or benayoun BUT... IN RAFA WE TRUST! C'MON U REDS! Y.N.W.A.!!!
-
subs? strong team. mind you rafa would get slagged off if torres or gerrard get injured vs tough luton tonight
-

Are you sure? This is what i found.. Looking forward to see him play (h) In all Rounds of the Competition a player shall be a "registered player" of his Club under the Rules of the Competition. In the case of postponed, drawn or replayed matches only those players shall be allowed to play who were eligible to play at the time fixed for playing the original Round, except for under the provisions of Competition Rule 18(e). (i) (i) A "registered player" is one who is either, in the case of a player under written contract, registered with The Association or, in the case of a player without a written contract, registered with a League in which his Club competes in the current season. Any such registration must have been received and accepted by The Association or League by 12 noon on the Friday previous to the date fixed for playing the Round, and the registration must be continuous through to the date of the match. In order to be eligible for the Final, the players must have been correctly registered and eligible for the Semi-Final Round of the Competition. If the FIFA Transfer Window is in operation then, in the Third Round Proper only, any such registration must have been received and accepted by The Association or League by 12 noon on the Friday previous to the date fixed for playing the Round link me thinks he can play

Gerrard----xabi------masch-------kewell -------------Torres--------babel--------- is the way forward...

That s basically it. Problems we must solve in the near future.

link He is now the most expensive defender to sign for Liverpool. Do you think he can handle that pressure because he is a young player? For me the price is not the key. When you talk about the market now the prices for players are crazy. We were checking centre backs. One who was 18-years-old, the other was 21 years old and another one 23/24. The price was 14 million euros for one, 16 million euros for another one and the third one was 20 million euros, so the market is crazy. We have signed a good player at the right price. Martin is 23 and he is a player for the present and the future. We are building a better squad than we've had before and also one with a lot of young players than can be the spine of the team in the future. link Liverpool are said to be close to signing Racing Santander centre-back Ezequiel Garay for a fee believed to be in the region of £10 million. Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez is keen to add to his defensive options and Garay is said to be Benitez' next target. Benitez recently signed defender Martin Skrtel from Zenit St Petersburg and this clearly shows Benitez' intentions. The Argentine international is apparently keen on a move to the Premier League and it seems as though Liverpool are close to offer Garay his dream move. Garay joined Santander back in 2005 from Newell's Old Boys and has shone ever since. I have only seen Garay once or twice and he looks very good and capable of playing for a top side like Liverpool. If Liverpool are to sign Garay it could spell the end for Sami Hyypia at Anfield and I'm sure a lot of Liverpool fans will be sad to see him leave. Posted by Cathal Breathnach at 9:14 PM Was Garay rafa s prime target and we shyed out again due to his price tag. Or are we buying both? I find it hard to beieve we will spending another 10 mill on a defender.

really dont agree that one of our problems "includes too may options" for Rafa. imo it all succumbs to lack of quality in our team. too many options with quality players is a win win situation. ferguson was very lucky that from utd s youth system all in the same era emerged beckham, scholes, and giggs all 20 mill pound players to a lesser extent that t*** of neville. To his credit he manged to capitalize on this fortune and added players like keane and cantona which paved the way for utd s trophy days. It was also easier in those days as players cost much less and there was much less competition in the league.

blowing stevie g???? For what? cos he understandably has not played to his highg standards these last of couple of games? he is a human being ffs. a wonderful quality player who chose to remain with his boyhood club. do you expect him to rescue us every f***in match? some of you are incredible!
-
Our best 11 imo does not include either kuyt crouch or voronin Pepe finn/arb-----carra-----agger----aurelio gerrard------xabi----mash-----kewell/pennant babel-----------------------torres. Wish rafa would give this side a serious run-out, now that we do not have injury problems.

mods might as well close this thread... Rafa replying to steve hunter offish Can we expect any more business from Liverpool in the transfer window? Not really. I think we are pleased with the squad. The only thing is sometimes if you receive a fantastic offer for someone then you might consider it. I was talking with Momo about leaving a few times, and with his agent. We know we have two or three clubs asking about him and we will try to find the best solution for him and for us. It depends on if we find the right club and the right offer. We need to wait. But really we are not looking for anyone now.

anelka is proved quality premier league striker. he is always amongst the top scorers in the league. Anelka would have given our side more needed goals. Skrotel- dont know anything abt him. still think the agger - carra is our first choice CB partnership, so in the short term anelka is the better deal. In the long term we l see how both players adjust to life in their respective new clubs. Me still hope we will sign a quality player with flair during this window.

Real Madrid to sign opare? Isnt Ashanti Gold one of our feeder clubs?
-
Lyon s Ben Arfa would be a good buy in my book.
-
Arango? Source tribal football, pandev Apparently, given the chance he is happy to play for everton as well, (not a liverpool boyhood fan like all of our players.

About 4 weeks ago 2000 fans marched in support of Rafa...why...

Our current team would have had a good chance to win the PL, in the Ged era. Pre-Abramovich and the mancs spending a net 70mill on players in one transfer window. Today the PL has become more demanding.

Your opinions in this thread seem to sustain the meaning of your signature...

I am bemused with your signature. Disgraceful.

he has a better chance than most. which managers have won major trophies in the league? apart from wenger and slur and err - ikson (one league title in italy?) i cant think of anyone else.
