May I forward the theory that Henry doesn't necessarily go missing in big games, he just doesn't rise to the occassion/can't raise his game in the way the greatest players do. He only, perhaps "goes missing" by his own stratospheric standards.

Aye, I think that's the big difference. Fowler was never an athlete, though he needs to get a lot fitter now. What he has in spades is what you never lose. Brains, skill and an that instinctive finishing and nose for a goal that, now Owen is long gone and Mellor has been shipped out on loan, arguably only Garcia has. We knew Nando was class, but he hasn't really shown it here, Cisse is proving to be, well, a bit crap. Crouch is better, but none of them seem to have brought their shooting boots with them. If Robbie can find half the goals he used to score, we're laughing, and we're a patient bunch who'll back him, long after Rafa will.

But Pepe is only a couple of years older. With a dodgy-looking Dudek, who's no spring chicken, in front of him, he had a much better chance than with a really solid keeper who's only 3 years older.
