Bellamy has always been well underrated; he really made Newcastle tick when he played up front for them. They were on fire in that first half of the season when he played, then went to pieces when he got injured. He's also been really good for B'burn. The lads just got married. Perfect time to bring him in and help him steer his attitude and talent. I think we're too quick to slate the media and SSN when it suits us and yet have opinions on players like Bellamy based solely on them. Some of the s*** I and many others on here got up to in our youth, not to mention some of our legends in the 80's, make people like Bellamy look like angels. Thank fekk we don't have SSN on our case If we get Bellamy he would be a terrific signing for us.

People keep saying this, but the fact is the vast majority of those games were i) at home and ii) against poor opposition. In recent games more teams have been targetting him as a weak point in our defence and I think that will happen more next season. One example was the early second half against the Mancs, where they targetted him and tore him to pieces. JAR is a good player, but he is not strong enough defensively when good opponents offer something down our left. Either he needs to improve that aspect of his gameor we need another option against good opponents.

Carrick has the potential to be much better than he is by adding some work rate and 'guts' to his game. If Taggart got that out of him then he would be a great addition to them. If they didn't manage to get any more out of him than he is giving at the moment he would be a poor buy.

With our present reputation, particularly in Spain, and after the way Gonzales has performed so well over there, it must be an attractive proposition for any right winger to want to come and join us. Gonzales on the left, Stevie, Xabi and Momo vying for the middle and a spot for a right winger to make their own. Thats a midfield to match any in Europe.

I disagree mate; I think it would be great news if Drogba left. He is central to the way Maureen plays. Without him he would have to try and play more expansive football and I'm not sure he can do that. When he has tried he has come up short recently. Drogba is a horrible ****, but he is extremely effective the way Maureen plays him.
