I thought the same last turn, but our turn around in form this season came exactly with the game when SG and Xabi became first choice, with Sissoko's injury. They have been the central pair in most of our shut outs since.

Is it all Gerrard should be in the middle, Crouch should have played more, too much rotation or is it fair talking about how we absolutely battered them and they were lucky ?

Biggest difference is Bellamy has the ability to learn what Rafa can teach him. Cisse couldn't learn even the most basic things from him.

Head of the Liverpool supporters club was heard to say , ' This is a disastrous indictment of our new American owners. Our first transfer target under their ownership and its for a measly £1.5million. Sack Parry !'

Thick alternating stripes of lime green and pink. I remember thinking it was quite tame, for him

Quote : There were reports you were interested in a ground share? Tom Hicks: I can categorically say we have no interest in a ground share with any other team. We are going to build the finest team for the finest stadium in the Premier League and that is Liverpool. George Gillett: I don't know how this story got started. It didn't get started with us. I look forward to meeting the officials from Everton some day because we are both in this wonderful city, but I have never authorised anyone to talk or act on our behalf relative to the possibility of ground sharing. I have no idea where this has come from. It was not true and we can categorically deny it. The first time I met Rick Parry I asked him the question and that's the only time I can recall the topic coming up. He looked me in the eye and said that if I ever brought that topic up in a serious way again then I could have his resignation because he wouldn't be involved with or support that kind of discussion. That was very clear and so the subject never came up again from our side. More recently someone close to the club said that if the topic did come up then it was the surest way possible for us to be lynched. We want to build the greatest facility for the players and the fans and make this the best location for players to play and for fans to come. Can we bring the title here under your ownership? George Gillett: I really hope so. Rick has told me of a Shankly saying that 'first is first and second is nowhere' and that sounds good to us. Tom Hicks: This club has been in David's family for fifty years and when we left his house it was a very poignant moment because there were tears in his eyes. He has agreed to be a Life President at the club and he will still be sitting in the directors' seats at Anfield. From the players' point of view, the best thing that can happen is that they feel nothing has changed except for a new stadium being built and more aggressive support in the transfer market Have to say they are certainly winning me over in a very short space of time.

Quote : After a series of flirtations with Irish investors, the next big bid, worth £451 came from Dubai International Capital. No wonder we turned them down.

The upturn in our form and our defence coincided exactly with when Rafa stopped playing him regularly at LB. He has not often played at LB since.

Not at all. I'm just saying that the only strength anyone seems to able to apply to Moores is that he backs the manager with funds. As you agree, if he did anything but that he would be a total idiot.

An ugly dick playing with a big dong. Its like a Viz flashback. Maybe they can get Billy the Fish to start in goal. That or Tim Howard to come back swearing his head off at Taggart via Tourettes and Ashley Cole running the wing with a mobile phone going off every five minutes.

No mate I didn't say that he was. To answer that though I'd say Gillette has a lot of money he has made himself and a history of operating at the level Moores is. That doesn't mean I want Gillette to own the club. My opinion on Moores is long standing, not something new. Like yourself, DIC is one of a very few parties I would be happy to see owning the club. Thats not because of their money but because of the breadth and depth of their business acumen. Everyone just ask yourself this. Serious question. If you had been Moores for the last 'x' years would you have done any worse than Moores has ? Keep your mouth shut and re-invest the profits via the manager. Then ask yourself if thats enough to protect the medium and long term future of our club against the b******s that are destroying our game ? (Sky, Abramovich, Glazier etc etc)

To be fair mate, most of my long standing opinion on Moores is not based on hearsay or what my neighbour has told me. When I say I know about Moores, thats from my neghbour who goes round his 'gaff' (if you can call marbled rooms a gaff) and is about the man, not his business ability. Everything from the amount of money Moores got in compensation from the death of his first wife to where all his money has come from to the way Moores lives his life. My opinion on Moores professional ability is based on the facts of his business history before LFC. As I say, every single business Moores started went bankrupt. If he can't run a series of small and medium business then he is hardly suddenly gifted enough to have the range of abilities needed to operate at the level of owning LFC. He has not made a penny in his life. Every single thing he has has fallen into his lap. I salute him for being a fan but as a businessman he is incompetent. Thats not a new opinion based on recent history thats a long standing opinion.

I know every single business he has started has gone bankrupt.

I know a lot about Moores as my next door neighbour is life long best mates with his step son. I've held the opinion for a long time that, while he has been a great fan, he is totally incompetent when it comes to business. He is also a lot more about himself and cash than people realise. People point to the fact he always keeps his mouth shut and backs the manager. I'd reply : i) he was incredibly fortunate in his life with money coming his way and the ownership of LFC practically falling into his lap. It was at a time when it would have been hard to have made less money than we have. If he hadnt re-invested our profits by way of backing the manager we'd be mid table at best and his shares and ownership worth massively less than they are. His backign the manager has been as much self preservation as anything else. ii) theres an old saying even a fool appears wise when he keeps his mouth shut. \never was this more applicable than in Moores case. Kev has hit the nail on the head. Laurel and Hardy indeed. Every single business Moores has started has collapsed in debt and bankrupt. He has not got it in him to operate at the level he is at.
