This is list of subsidesports.com's 'world wide' sales ~a year ago. It is still a British vendor, albeit with a website with a few other country versions. Why would anyone pay s***loads in shipping fees when you could just as well buy a shirt from a domestic store? I'd still claim a large majority of their sales are made inside the UK and those costumers that do buy their stuff from abroad are probably British as well. Hence the worthlessness of that list.

Pardon my ignorance on the matter but wasn't the incentive not the free him immediately more political than anything else? I had a feeling as soon he was transferred to Britain this would happen as a convenient way for Bulgaria not to lose face and for the relationship between the two countries to remain intact. Imagine the situation if Michael would be released straight after he touched ground in England; would be a smack in the face of the Bulgarian justice system, and that of a fellow EU member for that matter. Likewise say a foreign man gets convicted of murder in the UK only to be expedited back to his home country, which happens quite often, only to be set free as soon as he gets there. Not many of you would think that to be fair by any means (we are of course ignoring the fact that Shield's trial was a shamble to begin with). Great news still.

Probably comparable leagues. Greece has a few more good teams that could compete in Europe than do Scotland. See now Greece is just ahead of Scotland in the aggregated UEFA ranking (12th and 13th) which I think is a fairly good indicator on the 'strength' of a league. http://www.xs4all.nl/~kassiesa/bert/uefa/d.../crank2009.html

Re Owen I think it's clear him and Rafa don't get along very well. Somehow I also get the feeling Owen is more comfortable playing backup striker at united than he would be with us.
