Was just thinking that. he could have fallen over rather than take his chance and then we'd all have more to moan about Yeah, I think any dead rubber towards the end of the season for him to start in could be interesting. Difficult to get a true gauge of a players worth against tiring opponents - thats where Babel has done well but he's generally disappointed when on from the start.

There's one idiot in the comments section repeatedly following Kev's (mates?) line about it all being Carragher's fault! I don't think they've forgiven him for not having an eeverton tattoo under his long sleeved shirt.

Could easily create a situation at the end of the season where a team needs/wants to rest players for a playoff match and so fields the reserves against a relegation team, Wonder what Colin would have to say about that!?

I was thinking the other day if he could just connect with an absolute belter he could get abit of confidence and really kick on. Bit more self belief, fans not getting on his back so much - could be the making of him!

People slagging him off must've been watching a different game to me. Did his job defensively and used the ball well, showed some neat touches to get out of a few tricky situations, good movement off the ball. He's a proper footballer this fella.

Apparently Moyes had a go at the MOTD2 lot for highlighting Fellaini's tendencies in this area. Not sure if Shearer was on the panel when they did it.

Marcotti on 606 last night (I didn't want to listen but I was driving and the iPod was out of gas) was talking about the potential implications of Portsmouth's winding up order. Precedent in other countries is for all games to be null & void and while I wouldn't wish it on anyone - we're about the only team who'd benefit significantly from it.

Agger/Greek is definitley the way to go for this game at least. Quite like that team but its a bit harsh on Riera. Was beginning to enjoy his set pieces and would have done more if Stevie had got in the box.

I used to have a replica of this Valencia shirt - sported by Mario Kempes - that I picked up as a 9 year old on holiday in Spain... Though mine had red and yellow hooped socks that I was particularly proud of!

If its the incident I'm thinking of that was quality - he actually held his face in his hands til the fella who kicked it came to check he was alright and when he did he roared in his face, shook his head and trotted off!
