If they sell Mo and then ultimately sack Slot, the narrative will be "why didn't you keep your star player for the new manager". If they sell Mo and don't sack Slot, we'll end up finishing bottom half of the table and they'll sack him at the end of the season anyway, but the damage will be worse.
