Yeah, being part of the narrative guarantees his airtime and his relevance as a pundit. What's he supposed to do? "Don't have an opinion either way, that's their business". Mo has absolutely served the club a giant s*** sandwich though. If they keep Mo and sack Slot now, it drives a "player power won" narrative and doesn't do any favours to Mo's image either way. If they sell Mo and then ultimately sack Slot, the narrative will be "why didn't you keep your star player for the new manager". If they sell Mo and don't sack Slot, we'll end up finishing bottom half of the table and they'll sack him at the end of the season anyway, but the damage will be worse.

Some people's performances are waaaaay lower than they should be though. Like Gakpo for example is actually playing at probably about 6/10 of his actual level, whereas Mac Allister, Virgil, Mo etc are at 2/10.

Agreed, but also into that we need to factor that our season is in the toilet and the manager that we want (whoever that is, no idea) probably isn't available until the summer. So I'd be ok with us getting a stopgap that can get our season on track. At this point from where we are, that probably literally looks like qualifying for next season's Champions League.

Ultimately, would another manager do any worse? We're in such a doom loop that I'd settle for the players looking up for it and trying, which it doesn't look like any of them are. I feel like we're a Szoboszlai injury away from being on the end of some four or five goal shellings because nobody else looks like they really care that much.
