I didn't say in great numbers, but those with room for a striker and with money to spend would be after him. Its more about who Michael Owen would deign to sign for though isn't it. He probably thought Newcastle had a chance of getting him Champions League football. The whole thing sickens me at the moment, he needs us, we need him but he's got to want to ask for a move and insist upon only LFC. He could have done that while at Madrid though. If Owen becomes available there will be clubs beating a path to sign him. He scores goals, in any team, at any level, no matter who the defenders are.

Missing the point a bit. For the large part of the season we were playing well and getting results. everone's happy. Since christmas, we haven't played with the same belief or tempo or fluency. We got a few results, pulled rabbits out of hats like Luton but its been on the cards for a while. Our form took a dip before the results followed. but noone is saying that all is doom and gloom, just that its disapointing. We needed a better january for signings, some key players are really off form, we have no strikers playing well. Its not sacrilege to be disapointed with things just now.

Spotters badge for Mike. He said something a few weeks back about how we are playing badly and it could be signs of a downturn in results. Loads of people just look at the results but this has been on the cards. Once our team realised they couldn't score enough goals then they lost confidence. Other teams defences must look forward to playing us lately. Very worrying.
