  1. stop playing the fool lads. Neville ran the length of the pitch to taunt the opposition fans in a fixture with a history of violence. There's no defending that and he'll rightly be punished. What Gerrard did has f*** all to do with it.
  2. won't affect their earnings will it ? In fact, i've long suspected that controversy is encouraged at Old Trafford because it gets them free publicity.

  4. who were this 'panel of experts' ?
  5. I thought that, he doesn't bother me generally. But then Carra had a bit of a dig at him and instead of apologising or just laughing about it, neville then stood by his actions, saying it was just celebrating, and Sky started reporting it simply as a 'badge kissing' incident when its the fact that he ran the length of the pitch to do it. The fact that he had the opportunity to apologise, play it down, make a joke about it but he instead took the moral high ground and made out that he was sticking up for the rights of footballers to incite thousands of people in a fixture notorious for violence, thats what that grates now. Its something that annoys me a lot about the modern footballer. The way they believe they can do no wrong. By the way welcome back A@A

  7. Your out of order with the insults. How many poor performances do I have to watch before i'm allowed to say he's gash ?
  8. OK, anyone with sense knows Cisse will be gone when we can get a decent bid. What would you accept as a realistic offer for Cisse ? £5 million ? I'd snap anyone's hand off for £5 million for him, and i'm not being knee jerk because I said this after the Luton game when we won. He was gash then but the SuperDjibrils of this forum wouldn't have it.
  9. thats balls about our midfield, while not hitting their recent highs, they did more than enough to win this game, if we'd we had at least one striker capable of finding space and converting a chance.
  10. We dominated the game, they were there for the taking. Cisse and Crouch and Morientes offered nothing. 2 new strikers for next season.
  11. we've got no pedigree, we should aim to be a big club like Man U
  12. Doesn't wash with me. The t***s are never 'controversial' about Chelsea or man U. Its always, exciting attacking Man U and wonderful special Jose Mourinho. No-one on sky sports ever, and I mean ever, criticises Chelsea. Try and prove me wrong on that one.
  13. any footballer who goes season after season without playing will lose some of the talent and understanding of his game. He'll regret it when he looks back at the lost years, same for Wright Phillips and the rest of them.
  14. Madrid can't have known that they'd need to offload Owen when they bought Woodgate. The two transfers aren't connected obviously. Except for the fact that the fees in both cases were massively above the market rate and in hindsight can be seen to be reciprocal. Its just that, in neither case can I see an advantage for the buying club. What did Madrid have to gain by buying Woodgate for stupid money ?
  15. I thought it was Hobbs with the superhuman stamina. There were reports on here of the coaches giving him some tests and realising he could run all day and so they could make a midfielder out of him. Wouldn't surprise me about Antwi though, his physique is that of a top athlete. edit - I just read the posts on the previos page, didn't realise it had already been said.
  16. Who are 'the irregulars' ? Genuine question, please excuse my ignorance.
  17. he'll be brilliant for when we are 2 nil up in the closing stages of a game, when our oponents throw 5 players up front and leave 2 players to defend their area. FFS
  18. can he head a ball ?

  20. you're right, i thought of that when I'd read anny rd's post. If they'd won and i'd not even stood up and clapped then one of them would have had a swing at me at the least. Still, i'd love a ticket for that game...its tempting. Greatest fixture in club football in the world IMHO.
  21. How many have you had made ? I imagine a warehouse full of them getting dustier and dustier as the months turn into years.
  22. To be fair, i was in their equivalent of the main stand (not sure what the stand is called) and its not nearly as bad as it would be in the Stretford end. It was a bit more pleasant than being in the Gwladys St on derby day. That is a sickening place to be.
  23. I'll have it. honestly, its not that bad. I knew I was capable of controlling myself. No-one really pays attention to anyone else at the match unless they either look weird or are making noise. If you keep it in your mind that you can't say anything then you'll be fine.
  24. I've done that at Old Trafford. When Murphy scored our free kick winner. I was dead lucky, I did a bit of work on a PC belonging to an Israeli ex-footballer. he was a season ticket holder and couldn't go so I waived my fee and took his ticket. I kept my mouth shut the whole time but when the goal went in there was a lad a few rows back from me who jumped up and shouted. There were thousands of them who turned round and gave him all sorts of abuse. 'Murdering scouse t***' 'Hillsborough' It was fantastic to hear them slag off their team and manager then while they were losing.
  25. Sven was an idiot but he shouldn't be in the England job anyway. For Whelan to drag Stuart Pearce into it was amateurish.
