Though Schevchenko is pure class and a reason to worry, I don't know whether it's worth getting worried about Ballack too much. He's not much better - if at all - than what they've already got IMO. His form dips can be quite staggering, as the last two or three games for Bayern have shown, and he did a almost perfect Scholes-type disappearing act in the friendly against Italy last week.

This whole business has caused a lot of bad feeling here, but it will have its good sides. A lot of town councils are putting up screens in public places for people to watch the games. Pub and beer garden owners are planning similar activities and there's no way any of Blatter's sponsored shoite will be on sale any where near these parties. And this 'll be where people with any sense will be getting their beer and food before and after the matches. Sod the stuff in the stadiums.
