I think thats probably correct. The first 20 minutes or so are going to be crucial for us. If we concede an early goal, they will be buzzing, and when they are, they are pretty much unstoppable. If we weather the early storm, their play will become less calculated and more urgent, and we should have a few chances to hit them on the break. If we succeed and score first, their play will become even more urgent, allowing us to hit them again and finish off the tie.

So I am not the only one who thinks that Torres is very overrated. Does not score anywhere near enough goals for a supposedly world class striker.

Had a very good game yesterday, but lets not forget that the quality of the opposition was not exactly of the highest level, and that the game was practically over after 25 minutes. Still, if he can find some consistency, and use his skills to get past the fullback more often, then he'll definitely give a serious option on the right. Never deserved some of the stick he has received from some of our fans.

That free kick must have added about 10m to his transfer value. The most in-form striker in the world at the moment.

I think Rafa will gladly take Alves off their hands. Madrid are truly awful, and as been said above, its amazing they are still only a few points behind Barca. I thought Capello would sort them out this season, but even he seems to be in over his head. Can see him heading back to Milan in the summer - boy, is Ronaldo going to be pleased ...

The FA panicked after the Big Phil fiasco, and quickly appointed the only English cadidate the press approved off. He only got the job because there was no other viable English alternative (Fat Sam = negative football; Curbishley = not enough big game experience). Why the feck he is considered a tactical genius is beyond me. He is a mediocre manager at best. And yes, Lampard is absurdly overhyped.
