  1. A well-informed member on Koptalk claims that once the Agger deal will be done and dusted, the club will enter negotiations with Anderlecht for Kompany. If true, and should we land him, we shall have two of Europe's most promising CBs.
  2. Spot on. Its all a question of whether he is willing to listen and learn. If the answer is yes, Benitez and his coaches will make a fantastic player out of him.
  3. Exactly.
  4. I have not seen him enough to give a proper assessment, but Figaro speaks highly of him, and apparently he was one of the first players Rafa tried to sign when he joined us, so Rafa too must rate him. Josemi + 3m seems like a good deal, leaving Rafa plenty of cash elsewhere. Figaro, you reckon they will be persuaded to sell in January?
  5. Excellent piece, Leo. Good point about Cisse's injury resulting in Rafa having less time to coach him. If Cisse is willing to learn, I am sure Benitez will transform him into a much better player than he already is.
  6. Not cool. Not cool at all.
  7. Ye, I don't understand that, especially with Heinze due back in a couple of months. Slur Alex must either have someone lined up for midfield or is seriously losing the plot. Smith in midfield is one of the biggest jokes in European football. As for Maniche, he is a very good player, and I hope ManUSA are not in for him, and that he ends up in Spain instead. Chelsea buying everyone in sight is beyond ridiculous.
  8. I hope not. I hope they get the overpaid, over-sexed Sven.
  9. Just goes to show you that no goalkeeper is exempt from silly errors. It happens to the best of them, and Cech is one of the best around.
  10. Moro especially had a very hard time adjusting to the physical aspect of the Premiership. You could clearly see his frustration after each tackle, or due to the lack of time he got on the ball. To his credit, he never gave up, and has lately started to show that he has finally come to terms with the English game. As they say, his class has shone through.
  11. Very good analogy you make there, mate, spot on. I very much hope that Rafa keeps him, because with the right guidance and coaching he will turn from a very good prospect to a very good player.
  12. True, and they are always up to it against us, but it is a game we really should win.
  13. If it weren't for him, the best player in the world, the best player of his generation, would be playing for the scum. Nice one Peter!!
  14. Sack Parry.
  15. Even without ever seeing your 5 a side team play I'd say that was true.
  16. If true then they are fecked, because there is no way they will finish 5th (Bolton or Spurs probably will).
  17. I hope it would be done and dusted early in the window. Please no more last minute efforts, player seating on the plane only for his club to block the move with only hours to spare. It will give them more time to settle in, too.
  18. He does seem to be more concerned about his England place than playing for us, and in which case, Rafa is right in palying hardball. Besides, Owen should not be concerned about his WC place, no matter what that overpaid idiot Sven tells him. As England's leading scorer by miles, there is no way the Swedish pratt will not pick him as Fatboy's partner, especially since Defoe has little international experience.
