I would love Klose, but I still expect the club to complete Kuyt's signature by the end of the week - as reported by Bascombe. Regarding Alves, I don't think we will sign him this window. I expect us to go in for him next summer, or possibly during the January window.

Exactly. The idea of Wenger armed with that sort of cash does not appeal to me, especially as he seems to be covered pretty well at LB. Don't want the Arsenal squad strengthened. I do, however, think that the Chavs will get him before the window closes. They need a LB with Gallas unsettled and Bridge not really rated by the Translator.

Disagree. Had a very poor game IMO, as did Gerrard. As for Zenden, I don't know why Rafa didn't start with Garcia, Zenden does not impress me at all, and was very weak last night. To be honest, I think some of our players were too complacent, thinking they just have to turn out to win comfortably, and Maccabi showed that they are no pushovers. They are a good team, well managed by Ronnie Levy who got his tactics spot on. We'll win the return leg, but it is not going to be easy. Rafa must be secretly hoping that there will not be an unexpeted ceasefire, because it will be harder to get past them if the game is to be played in Israel.

Still a few years left in him. Signing any foreign player is a risk, but he is a strong and physical player, so that should make things easier for him.
