I too think Maureen will be gone at the end of this season too. And whilst he'll never admit, Chelsea are clearly going all out for the European Cup this year. Your man Abramovic is desparate for it, and so are the players. Chelsea fans will have you believe it's just a knock out competition so isn't as good as the league, but that's because they haven't won it. I think they'll drop more points in the league this year, but the other teams, including us, are really going to have to go some. The games between the usual top 4 will be crucial.

The problem with that is the ref, not the clubs. All he has to do is stop his watch. I personally believe 3 subs is enough, with a 4th in extra time. I also support 7 players on the bench. I'd like to see the 4th official manage all subs, so the ref can just ref. I'd like to see players allowed on the pitch whilst another is receiving treatment (blood subs as in Rugby) I hate it when your own player is fouled, hurt, then has to leave the pitch while you take your free kick without him. Where's the advantage in that??

I agree with you there. I see FIFA are now investigating Materazzi. As I said from the start, if the roles were reversed, Materazzi would have been shot and Zidane let off without a hint of punishment. Looks like they'll try to punish Materazzi for something they can not prove. Zidane's word against Materazzi's isn't enough, it should be left well alone.

El Tel was doing a good job with the England side before his departure. One of the best managers of the national side in recent times in fact. Wheeling and dealing with poor players he's no good at - managing already good players (coaching) he is.

Yep, that's the one. To me that is the perfect badge. I'd also add that the Liver bird is probably associated with Liverpool Football Club more than anything else anyway.

It's been discussed before, but there's confusion about the copyrights to the Liver bird, whilst Parry has recently insisted that the badge will not change due to the clubs commitment to support HJC. The thing is, nobody wants to lose the eternal flame. It should be there no question. What we don't need is all the other fancy stuff, including the Shankly Gates. FFS, we've got the real gates at the ground!!! I honestly believe that with the right campaign we could get the badge changed, whilst still incorporating the eternal flame. A fan recently produced an excellent version as part of a 'new liverpool kit design' session on RAWK I believe. It was the perfect badge which I have a pictuer of but don't now how to post without it being a link to a website. Many clubs are changing their badges back to the original. Spurs are just about to have the Phoenix on its own again. I don't buy this copyright nonsense with the Liver bird. Others have symbols that aren't their own, so to speak.
