  1. Bournemouth will hold on, the shame will be LVG will be sacked and they might get a good manager in. Rodgers in?

  3. Get him hugging Sturridge every day. That would test anyone's super powers.
  4. This is absolutely true. They tend to have the same ideas and timing. Without Coutinho he struggles to have the same effect. Quite what Klopp saw on the training field to pair Firmino and Benteke I would love to see on the match field as it looks like it will never work to me.
  5. Does he always say his own name when he talks, like the singer?
  6. That's exactly the type of player we need, We can't keep smashing 3, 4 or 6 goals past our opposition. We need someone to miss a few sitters now Sterling is gone.
  7. Jamie Vardy was a conference player, now he's top scorer in the league. Hopefully Origi can go the same way.
  8. Not a definitive answer but this suggests big clubs have insurance against injuries to players. https://www.quora.com/Do-football-soccer-clubs-insure-their-players-against-injuries Do football (soccer) clubs insure their players against injuries? Response 1: Yes, at least the clubs who can afford do. Types of coverages those insurances provide vary just like any other insurance policy. There are insurances that would pay compensation which involves player's salary for the rest of his contract in case of a career ending injury, insurances that would pay player's salary for duration of injury and so on. There are also insurance that would cover for any claims from players that say they were forced to play when not being fully fit and that leading to further injury and loss in national team spot among others. Not only clubs but also FA's of country also do have some sort of insurance. FA's pay a compensation to clubs if any of the players get injured on national duty. This compensation depends on a final agreement between club and country based on factors like prior injury record, fitness of player before reporting to national squad, extent of lay off due to injury, depreciation of a player's contract, impact of player and so on. NUFC, FA, FIFA came to an agreement over the compensation to be paid for Owen who was injured on international duty. FIFA also pays compensation to clubs for any player sustaining any injury during any of its events. Response 2: Yes, and a lot of the hoopla relating to players passing their medicals after a transfer relates for them being able to have valid insurance to go alongside their new contract. Players can't play unless they are insured. Indeed I can think of one high profile international footballer who 'legend has it' can't move from his present club because longstanding, but not critical, injuries prevent him from passing a medical at another club were he to try and move. Response 3: Of course they do, below is an article about how Lloyds, a large British insurance company, does a lot of business during the transfer season. The link was broken!
  9. Jürgen on learning Scouse: "'Boss tha' is not a problem for me. But I need more time to get better at Scouse!" #LFC
  10. Maybe they are not quite in line? Benteke a bit closer to the camera?
  11. When they get together, it's going to be moyder.
  12. This could be the Introductory text for Uncharted 4.
  13. It wouldn't be a surprise if for insurance reasons they have to not accept liability (like in car insurance) otherwise it could void their insurance etc. Just a guess.

  16. The Dutch could make the playoffs. I believe Turkey need one point from their last game but that's against Czech Republic to confirm their place in the play-off. Holland would miss out if Turkey get a point, but if Turkey lose then Netherlands have to beat Iceland who are top of the group. Netherlands have to have more points than Turkey to beat them to the playoffs and they are two behind as Turkey have beaten Netherlands 3-0 and they drew 1-1. Could be an interesting finish.
  17. I can imagine the way fans are feeling now would be similar to people lucky enough to be around when they realised how good Shankly was. I loved his way of inviting the players to be his friend as it's not so bad being his friend. Pulling all together is what being a leader is all about!
  18. I guess the new manager's is to tell Barca to f*** off with their valuation of £22,154,203.63.
