  1. Liverpool player on loan at an Italian club talking about making sacrifices to sign permanently. Haven't we seen this situation before? Cough Borini Cough.

  3. I think we need a captain before we get another one.

  5. I think the goal against Villa will go a long way to building his confidence and overall game. When to shoot, when to pass and when to run are decisions that work or backfire. When they work it helps with future decisions. I think there are bigger problems than him on the pitch that need addressing.
  6. Can we loan Mignolet to every team we play against so it gives Benteke a chance of scoring please?
  7. Unfortunately I do think that the results will get worse before they get better.
  8. Perhaps they meant Nivea star?
  9. Adam knows...I'd like to know who he was actually speaking to - "these things happen"?!? Liverpool star Adam Lallana admits the players have to take full responsibility for another calamitous end to a match after Sunderland somehow clawed back an Anfield draw. Cruising at 2-0 up with nine minutes to go after the England international’s fourth goal of the season had followed Roberto Firmino’s 59th-minute opener they contrived to throw away two points. First Adam Johnson scored with a free-kick, which once again asked questions of goalkeeper Simon Mignolet who allowed the ball to sneak inside his near post, before Mamadou Sakho made the cardinal sin of allowing Jermain Defoe time to turn in the penalty area to fire home an 89th-minute equaliser. Thousands of Liverpool fans were not there to witness the capitulation – like manager Jurgen Klopp who was rushed into hospital to have his appendix removed on the morning of the match – having staged the first walk-out in Anfield’s 132-year history in the 77th minute to protest at rising ticket prices, and they were probably thankful they missed yet more late despair. “In any game, regardless of who you are playing, with 10 minutes to go it is very disappointing and we have only ourselves to blame,” said Lallana. “We probably dropped too deep as a team and didn’t continue doing what we were doing in the second half to get the goals. “We certainly didn’t want to be complacent and didn’t think we’d won the game [although] it probably looked that way to the fans. “These things happen but we need to take full responsibility for that.” Asked how they repair the damage Lallana told LFCTV: “It is simple – as working as hard as we have been working or even harder. “We have another game Tuesday (an FA Cup fourth round replay at West Ham). As a player the best thing about a disappointing result is getting back on the pitch as soon as possible and putting things right.”
  10. They had two shots on target and scored two goals. It's starting to really look like he's taking payments to let them in. It's either that or he really doesn't understand that the point of the goalkeeper is to stop the ball from crossing the line, not help it along.
  11. It doesn't seem to matter whether he can see the ball or not, he can't seem to stop it. But he's ours and we are supposed to support him and the other players too. They make it hard.
  12. If we smash 'em hard enough we'll definitely scramble a 0-0.
  13. That's such a great quote. It just shows how easy it is to come with a clever put down compared to how hard it must be to be there yourself. As much as it is brave to manage a football team, he's done himself no favours.
  14. This should be a genuine concern as I can not imagine for one second that this is what he expected. There seems to be an apathy creeping into the team that is making them hard to watch and enjoy. It's going to be a long old season anything resembling a top half finish would have to be considered an achievement with this team. If Klopp wanted a big challenge as his next job, I think he can consider himself in the right place.
  15. Emre Can ran into trouble, gave the ball away, then the chance was made. He really needs to learn to pass the ball rather than trying to take them all on by himself.

  17. It probably would have done but being a Sunday they would have extended for the extra working day. Always exciting the last day of the window.
  18. This is a new feature of the Europa League. It makes you wonder how many teams are seeing it as a way of qualifying next season. It's a great motivation for the players, hopefully they can respond well to it.
  19. I think you've just linked us. Stick it on twitter, watch it fly.

  21. Yep, the Beastie Boys knew how to make an album back in the day.

  23. At least it's not gone in the goal yet. It's progress.
  24. Yep, I remember Grobs when he first signed. He stepped in when Ray Clemence left unexpectedly and for the first six months he made so many mistakes. But after six months he started to shine. The mistakes were always there, but they got less and his abilities more than made up for them. Basically, he learned how to improve and make up for his mistakes after six months. Mignolet has now been here for, what, four seasons? Maybe three? When is he going to do this? Maybe he's already done it and has hit his peak. Now he's on the slide. Only him and Klopp really know but it's pretty scary for the other players and the fans.
