  1. I played against Ian Hutchinson, he was about 40 and could throw a football as far as some people can kick it. I've never hears do muck bllocks in my life, defending long throws is a real issue, taking long throws is a piece of piss.

  3. His wages until then will be around £2m. We could pay his contract up and offer Palace say £10m, in bearing in mind our defensive situation could very easily be what gets us over the line for top 4? I think the player might go for it, we can but ask.
  4. Ok I will defend my stance on this. What Arne achieved was incredible, but then so was what Ranieri achieved at Leicester, in fact even more so. He was sacked 5 minutes later. Last year we won the league by 10 points which would have been higher had we not gone on holiday. Arsenal came second with 74 points. Teams finishing in second spot the previous 7 years had the following points accrual. 89 84 92 74 81 97 81 86 I'm not using this as a stick to beat Arne, just stating a fact, had we needed to we probably would have got to 89 points or so but fact remains, the pressure was off to a degree which enabled us to cruise home from March onwards. Wels done Arne, but not his fault that the rest of the league underperformed, again, fact. I can't think of a title winning boss turn out such dross for 9 months, he's going to get gallons of stick over it and rightly so. I hope he turns it around of course, but I really can't believe what I'm seeing at times.
  5. More like The Hodge I thought. To be fair Muley, and I really don't mean to demean Arne's achievement, but everybody did take last year off except us, Klopp would have pissed this league as well. The adage that you can only beat what's in front of you stands though and it's a shame that he's been sussed out by opponents, very quickly too.
  6. Who does this sound like? "In the last two games we conceded from a set-piece but we were able to win and that hasn't happened many times this season. That's progress for me, but it's obvious there are more things for us to improve and this is definitely one of them.
  7. I'd take 11.
  8. At that point we were too busy defending. We were playing walking football at times and Jones in the main culprit. He's very handy against good sides in cagey games but he will always take 9 touches and 5 yard passes when a quick one two is called for. They are playing in spells like they are wearing adidas diving boots and it's largely on the system. There's a player in Jones but he plays the same cautious role regardless of who we play, he drives me nuts, to be fair a lot of this is on the manager, speed the fcking game up FFS!!
  9. Jones completely disappeared for spells and he slows the fcking game down too much against shyte teams we should be rampaging over.

  18. I reckon all of them turn up in the Prem to either sink or float, it's a test of ability and toughness both mental and physical. It's a different world to any other league, I get knackered watching sometimes it's so fast. Football is always quicker to play in than it looks from the sidelines, the Premier League is the pinnacle for pace, strength and athleticism, sink or swim. Those who swim generally improve dramatically.
  19. Come off it, he was a disappointment after the hype and the money spent but had his moments for sure. I remember them both.
  20. I was carried off with a fractured ankle, certainly couldn't walk like Isak. I was out of plaster pretty quick but can feel the ligament damage to this day, especially when it's cold. I had zero physio, thankfully it isn't like that now, the treatment is unreal,
  21. I'll self reflect you two tossers in a minute.
  22. Nah, they were a really fast counter attacking side bringing the ball out at speed, not long ball merchants. I've watched them quite a bit actually in recent times. I don't see this at all https://www.transfermarkt.com/premier-league/fairnesstabelle/wettbewerb/GB1/saison_id/2024
  23. In what way, I thought Brentford under Frank were decent and certainly not ale house merchants?

  25. Needs to stop putting his arms behind his back and concentrate on blocking crosses. He needs to get really tight on players and his lack of acceleration when a wide man runs at him is concerning.
