  1. How do you know we haven;t contacted him?
  2. I never saw Liddell. The other 5 were absolutely different types off footballer but in the old sense of a left winger Heighway was the purest definition of such, hurting down the line at warp speed, beating players with sheer pace and magical crossing skils. Barnes was a left winger too, more skilful than Heighway but I don't recognise any others of your list as definitive left wingers. As effective footballers I'd say Heighway, Barnes and Mane and wouldn't argue with which order they are in. But Heighway is always overlooked, as is Keegan, and I remember how utterly, devastatingly brilliant they were.
  3. Heighway was. Thompson nowhere near them, but Stevie was world class, make no mistake.
  4. FCK you Hass, and you too Sammy. Heighway, treated like a dog. We still sing about him.
  5. I was at that one. With RP and our sons. Michael Duberry and his super thug mate letting him know the score playing in England , Nando flayed the pair of them!
  6. He still has some growing to do, Fernando was defo harder to knock off the ball. Him going to Chelsea knocked off 25% of his genius in my mind but now I'm over it and not being sulky I would say Hugo will be as good as him all around if not better, but not quite yet.
  7. Ever. We've got a right back called Steve Finnan, When he's playing we keep winning, He passes outside and back in again, We've got a right back called Steve Finnan.. Plagarist bassted.
  8. Ever since Suarez was asked if he had anything to say about Williams slagging him off. 'Not really, I don't even know who she is?'
  9. Ferguson and Cantona, both hate figures from the past are both top lads. They put some of our 'legends' to shame/
  10. 18. Sure is, thanks.
  11. I'm not going to lie either. I have no idea what this is about other than it must be from the same song in which one line is 'don't Bogart that joint Eugene' but I can't remember who or what it was. all I will say it was a bloody long time ago, sounds like early Floyd maybe?

  13. It doesn't impact you Softlad. Not everybody goes on their holiday to Rhyl on a caravan park, or gets trams everywhere.
  14. They just let 3 in. This country is ever more geared up to mug off Joe Public. It's relentless, the tolls all over the country, the airport drop offs, it's a total piss take.
  15. What, even that arsseh0le Diouf? Woke as fck.

  17. I'll judge him by how many good crosses he gets into the box from the bye line, for some reason Gakpo seems almost incapable of taking players on on the outside this season, he is so predictable and with his lack of pace and physicality he is looking poor at the moment.
  18. He tripped up over the penalty box line on Saturday, looked like fcking Bambi on the ball. He's been pretty rubbish this year and Rio is definitely worth more game time. he could have had a penalty on Saturday if he wasn't so naive, he scares opponents.
  19. Grrrr... it was lighthearted waffle, trying to cheer you all up. I'm going off in a sulk now to think up some more electric puns. It's about a manager being sacked when he gets in the quarters and the replacement goes on to win it. This is the path we could be on, wouldn't that be something. Fcking hell you lot are hard work,, it's not my fault we got beat by Bournemouth.
  20. Ooh I just remembered something, this could be an omen. A few years back Mark Hissey aka NYR introduced me to Cameron Toshack, John's son. He's a lovely guy and he was telling me how his dad's work meant they moved around a bit including Spain where John was sacked by Real Madrid in 1999, despite getting them into the last eight of the European Cup and was replaced by Del Bosque. Which they went on to win. It's in the tea leaves lads.
  21. What bright spark though starting an electrician puns thread was a good idea?
  22. Digger dropped into midfield and ran the place for a while, he was a much more versatile genius than Mo. Mo can't play central now, he'll get in the way of Hugo, the game is up lads.
  23. If we don't get another CB in by next Saturday we are up to our eyes in s***. I'd even get Ruddiger in on a short term deal if he's still available.
