I know we jest but what was the cup game where Chiesa started and did well? Or came on and scored? After the game when asked about his performance he said something along the lines of it was a good performance but let's not get too carried away (or words to that effect). That could just be Slot being his usual self but the lack of minutes since is a key factor, looks like he didn't want him and is making it clear for all to see. I'm sure he has his reasons, not saying he's the answer but he would have been going some to be worse than either a partially fit Cody or ridiculously out of form Jota.

Thought Quansah wasn't helped by how he was employed, was expecting a more traditional full back role. He looks more comfortable in those positions, but he was inverting from the start. The occasional rampaging run aside it's not his game at all.

Absolutely s***e. Odd subs, no control, too slow and pedestrian. Way too predictable. Squad looks tired (no surprise there), it's clear that Slot didn't want Chiesa but surely a straight swap with Diaz would have been the play? Gakpo looked marginally fitter than that ridiculous cameo against PSG but how is he even getting on the pitch atm? Slot has to learn to use his squad better whether he believes in all of them or not, there are simply way too many games.
