  1. Huge deflection but too easy to get the shot away, our setup is helping PSG, so much space on the wings.
  2. Some more skills
  3. As much as I want to believe. If interim Klopp was an actual possibility then they why not do it during the international break? Would have been the perfect run of games for him to take on.
  4. I'd recommend setting aside a couple of hours for this one. I think I might have found James Pearces alt account!
  5. Before the trophy presentation please
  6. Plus, his approach to fitness and squad management is highly flawed, and will always limit his effectiveness.
  7. Sad that I feel the same, he's destroying our club and his continued presence has already done so much damage to my connection to it. Edwards and co are looking for any reason to keep him.
  8. Agree, would be amazing but just can't see it. Re Klopp, I did wonder if there might be something happening in the background around the legends game. It was probably just him being his usual self, supporting the foundation and trying to reignite that spark. I'd like to think he'd come back but I don't see Edwards agreeing, though with the doubts re his future, maybe those above him have different opinions. Ps Re Iraola, there is talk that he wants to go back to Spain.
  9. They can see it, but Tony Barrett and Co keep the majority of them in check, WhatsApp messages, nudges and reminders, ignore those at their peril no doubt.
  10. In that he's rigid in how he wants to play, with an unwavering belief in his (highly flawed) approach and system. When combined with his arrogance, it wouldn't be a surprise if the majority of the squad think he's a right t***.
  11. He strikes me as football purist who has shown he's unable to adapt. During the interview with Gerrard on the Overlap (which is great BTW, well recommended), there was one thing that stood out about his time at Villa. He said he was coming up against Managers who would make multiple tactical tweaks during a game, constantly changing approach and trying to exploit gaps, not only that but how teams would up their intensity. He admitted he struggled and how it was a learning experience. It's not to the same extent but I think Slot might be similar, the constant complaining about opposition tactics, whether it be low blocks or something else. To make matters worse, his approach has meant our fitness levels have regressed to a point where we struggle to play any other way than turgid one paced rubbish.
  12. Still here then it would seem, if they had made the decision earlier he would have left with our thanks. It's gone way beyond that now, and it's only going to get worse. Surely even Slot can see that at this point he's actually damaging his reputation. Though, his interviews seem to suggest otherwise, such arrogance. It also calls into the question the leadership of the club, how have they let this go on for so long?
  13. All that PR fluff from Joyce, Pearce, Hunter and Gorst ain't looking so great now
  14. The levels of self belief and arrogance are off the charts at times, especially when he's on defense. There's a touch of delusion too.
  15. Re the latest piece from Joyce, the timing, the content, it's like those at FSG thought a 2-week international break would make us forget the terrible football we have been seeing for the majority of the season. It's been obvious for months that he's not capable of turning this around, his time is up. It feels like Edwards and Hughes are more concerned with their own futures than ensuring the club they're currently stewards of gets back on track.
  16. You jest, but our setup is so screwed he spends loads of time in a LBesque position.
  17. Thought this was interesting, for there to be a dropoff across so many metrics has to be on him primarily, he can blame squad composition / balance, but if he and Hughes are as close as he makes out, then he played his part in that too.
  18. Just watched that, it's great. Warning, it will make you miss him even more. There is more emotion and genuine warmth in that short interview than I have ever heard from Slot, they really are poles apart in so many ways.
  19. But sadly not a surprise when considering Slots "player management skills".
  20. Mo leaving is yet another reason to sack this imbecile, get someone in who can actually set us up to play football so we (and Mo) can can enjoy his final games with us.
  21. I knew it was always likely, but part of me hoped he would have one last season under a coach who actually knew how to use him. I know he's been struggling, how much of that is down to age catching up with him vs having a setup that gets the best out of him we'll never know. Absolutely gutted, if was hard enough when Bobby and Sadio left. Then Jurgen, now this, sad times. One of the best ever, legend doesn't do him justice.
  22. Legend.
  23. Especially for you While we're at it, today's obvious info:
