  1. Is Henry on the bench again?
  2. That's because the board was down all afternoon. Perhaps it could be considered for match days. It keeps the whoppers off.
  3. Its funny I didn't notice Gerrard or really Babel when he came on. That's not a criticism, just that there were so many big performances it's hard to have covered it all. Looking forward to the highlights later. Rafa's game plan was spot on again. I'm not the only one to have always thought he'd get it right, but this looks like a crushing machine in the making. The work rate and team work this season has been breathtaking.
  4. Some of the one touch stuff in the middle and final third has me very excited. Keane definitely helps but they are all at it. The understanding between the players is still very early, but if they keep going at that rate we are going to be battering some teams later in the season. I said I wouldn't start dreamng until after the Chelsea game. I'm still not allowing myself to, not until March/April. Someone on another board said they haen't felt that nervous for a league game for ages and it took me right back. Fantastic feeling.

  6. Magnificent. A proper team effort. Thought Riera was a colossus. Those who said Carra was past it, hang your heads. The fans were blasting the place as well, it was rocking.
  7. Danish King? Really classy that from Rooney, exceeds my expectations again.

  12. "He also claimed that the banks were responsible for the debt being put onto the football club as a result of the credit crunch." What total black f***ing lies. Him and Hicks are scum. Watching the financial news tonight, they are finished by the looks of things. If I were DIC or anyone else, I'd hold my nerve. Someone will get us for a bargain, because they'll never refinance in this market. With a bit of luck the pair of them will go bankrupt as well. Hang in, its about to get interesting, and I'm getting more confident by the day these two are finished.
  13. Its the 5th competitive game of the season. Played without Gerrard and for the most part Torres. With new signings bedding in. Against well above average Premier league competition. Everyone be cool. It'll come.
  14. I don't agree. If I thought the club was in good hands, I'm more than willing to show that buying merchandise. Am pretty sure one way or another that money is goign in Hicks' or Gilette's pockets at the minute. Whether to pay for their private planes, or when they sell the club and make a fortune out of the name of LFC and the fans that support the club. I'm not bothered about Big names, I think Rafa despite his protestations can work on a budget. I do care about hitting the owners in the only language they understand. As for 'unless everyone does it its pointless', well you can say that for most things. You have to do what is right for you and what you feel comfortable with. If everyone does it great, they'll go, but I don't want one penny of my money going to those f*****s on merchandise.
  15. Just read on another forum that Magnier and McManus are the 'shocking' possible interested parties interested in us. Also that Miskelly may be working with DIC. I still can't see H&G going without a fat profit or a bankruptcy.
  16. Talk about kicking the f*** out of a team. It's been like a Bruce Lee film.
  17. That's a f***ing excellent post on RAWK. Amen brother.

  19. I read the Bascombe articles a little differently and if read that way, there's a couple of bits of interest buried in there. Alonso negotiating a move in secret - there were rumours last season he wanted to leave. Explains Rafa's coldness. Would the fans be so sympathetic if this were true? The terms of loans prevent further loans, or at least require consent from RBS/Wachovia - more than likely clause in financial dealings, sounds plausible, also means G&H have ther hands tied to an extent. I still don't get why we are in for Barry unless we thought we can shift Alonso at big money, and basically make 5-10 million profit on Alonso leaving and Barry coming in.
  20. Moores, the millionaire I wonder?

  23. I said I wanted to not I did! Might explain why we are paying silly money for Keane and Barry and there are rumours Xabi will stay.... (Ok I admit it, I'm sh%t stirring, but its the close season, got to keep myself entertained somehow....)
  24. That's an interesting comment by Phil Eel if ever there was one. I want to believe.
