  1. It'll finish football for me if that is what happens. I'll keep a passing interest, but I don't think I'd ever feel the same about it. Even without that prick, its not the game it was, and the fans aren't what the were either.

Great post. I honestly think he should be supported in this window and the next, and then if a change is needed the summer after next so be it.

One other point. IF the board or the majority of them had decided to sack Rafa or even not to back him in the transfer market, it would appear it was BEFORE the Reading game. I don't think that's acceptable, in fact its tantamount to winding up the pressure at the expense of the team, results and the club as a whole. I for one think they undermined him from before that point, with the change in tack re transfers (and the stadium). Having said they would back him, they've cut his balls off, mid season, while we were still in the title race.

I think his opinion is wrong. Its different from mine. There's really nothing wrong in that. If you can't see the difference between Shankly and Mourhino that's fine. Again, I just don't agree with you. And I think if you analyze the 2 men and their quotes, and their approaches not just to the game, but to life, its obvious why.

All great stuff. All with a hint of humour. No Mike, I don't think Shanks was a good loser. I think he hated it. But I do think there was a limit to his gameship, and I don't think it came close to the lack of decency Mourhino shows.

You are wrong. I won't be able to convince you otherwise so I'm not going to bother. You either get it or you don't. The Shankly way was about winning, but through effort, ability and togetherness, of the fans, manager and team. Not by creating a circus of snide remarks about opposing players' education, ambulance services and lying about referees to the extent they retire.
  7. Thought the same. Snakey c***.
  8. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/arti...amp;ito=newsnow Maybe the meeting went better than I thought
  9. In other cheery news there's a mysterious thread on Est1892 suggesting we have no hope of keeping Masch, and the Echo is sitting on something. I feel helpless, but this is causing me sleepless nights. Something will give soon, whether its Rafa or someone in the media, someone is going to blow the lid soon.
  10. I dont think he's have done it if he didn't think it was right at the time. But I bet our Due diligence on these pair was next to nothing. Smacks again of someone as naive and not up to it as Parry. I don't blame Moores for getting a wedge per se, but he's really let us down.
  11. So we have all our money going to service the takeover loan, no money for players, and a stadium on hold. f*** me, that's pretty dire. Only hope is for someone to come in and buy them out and as Rimbeux says, you'll have to drag Hicks out because of the long term profit. There's always deals to be done though, just need a buyer and someone creative enough to put it together. I agree with Knox that this seems at the point where Moores should be saying something. Even if its ugly, the reality of it needs to be out there.
  12. Christ. What a c**k up.

  14. Get the train to Liverpool. Hope this helps.
  15. I hope you are right. I think what went on on Wednesday will have been an eye opener for them. But You are talking here about US billionaires. I'm still nervous. I thought George and Tom said all the right things when they bought us. I was sad about it but thought like it sounded ok. This has come as a real reminder that from that moment, things are different at Anfield. That the fans remain a check and balance on the decision making at board level is vital. (As Knox so eloquently put it earlier)
  16. Not quite, but seriously nervous Rafa is hardly even tempered, and likes things his own way. You get a buffoon like Rick making the decisions above his head and playing him off against the owners, you have a recipe for disaster. Which I think is what we almost had earlier in the week.
  17. That Times article scares the s*** out of me. Parry's ego shining through. He's f***ing bad news and I doubt Rafa will put up with it beyond this season.
  18. Interesting. Seems a lot has improved. Elisha said Parry was a douche all along, and I didn't believe it at first. But the DIC thing, the Athens ticket fiasco and now this all point to a guy way out of his depth. I wonder if that s what the owners are now wondering as well.
  19. Good post.
  20. Agreed, its not carte blanche support, but the best we can hope for. I think the fans response will have been a major factor in them having a re-think. Lets hope Rafa delivers the title this year, and is offered a 10 year contract. Rafa's comments on Foster are as clear as they can be re his thoughts on Parry. At least he has a good relationship there at least.
  21. Interesting. Is that after 2 years when Parry's contract is finished, or sooner? Haven't eard much about Ayres since he joined, anyone know how he is getting on?
  22. I actually retched when I read that.
  23. If my auntie had balls...
