  1. Gillette has not got enough funds: that is what is holding up the deal. Hicks has the funds but wants more involvement in the club's affairs than agreed at first. He is cannot buy Gillette out hence the approach to DIC by Gillette. But Hick put an unreasonable valuation on the shares; DIC walked away. Moores is pissed off with the whole thing and has the support of Parry, and Gillette and that is the only reason why Rafa is still there. The thinking is that DIC will come in and buy out Hicks and another 30% from Gillette but it is very much depended on RBS and Wachovia given them the loan and at what terms. The loan will affect DIC because if Gillette cannot meet their terms, then he is under pressure to sell and he cannot/will not sell to Hicks as per the agreement between them. It is either the club is sold or Hicks buys him out with the said clause in the contract. If G gets the loan, then no pressure. What makes it more interesting is the 2nd loan next year. This one definately would/might require a sale or 3rd party investment more the former. Apparently come from someone in the US. Sounds credible. Mods. Feel free to move to another thread if nec. Anyone know anything about the 'agreement' between G + H?
  2. This is almost cheering me up
  3. Every piece I read makes me more and more livid. Hicks makes me want to vomit with rage.
  4. The Telegraph is reporting it looks likely they'll get it. I hope not
  5. Where does he say that? It is possible mind you.
  6. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/foo...icle3187853.ece Rafa is digging his heels in. Good man
  7. For the first time in about 5 years, Sky Sports news piece on the whole debacle was surprisingly balanced and slightly pro Rafa. I have to say I am f***ing amazed
  8. Oh I know. He's a slippery c*** of the highest order. I guess I live in the mis-guided hope that his final act will be to show these pair up for who they are. Or he and Moores come out against them. Its the only decent thing they can do. It may well be meaningless though
  9. There's more to come tomorrow according to a poster on RAWK.... Says Parry is furious with Hicks. For selling him out or for doing this to Rafa?
  10. Amen. And this bad patch co-incides with a lot of s*** in the press about a lack of support, and broken promises about investing in the team. If we sack him, we won't qualify for the CL. That would mean there'd be no money to service the loans. No money for transfers. We'd be f***ed.
  11. Exactly. If the first 80 minutes had been like the last 10, we'd have trounced them. Why didn't Rafa start with that time, playing that way. It has to be the off the field stuff affecting morale.
  12. Riise - awful, really really awful Voronin - not a prem player Gerrard - not trying Arebeloa - looks like he's playing left back for the first time What the f*** is going on?
  13. Fyds I really don't think it is. That's what worries me. I'm not sure why you can't see it. There's something really changed.
  14. Am with you. Its basically gone like this- Owners realise they are skint and change their tune re signings, probably with our explaining to the manager; Rafa pushes the issue Cowboys get the a*** and tell him to concentrate on coaching. Rafa loses his s*** in public Yanks (despite the fact they've gone back on their word) spit the dummy at the insubordination Decide they want Rafa out Offer or talks with Cappello and Jurgen Fans protest makes them think again cL qualifiaction softens the blow 2 months of rabid media speculation Still unclear whether things have calmed down, what their plans for Rafa in the summer are. My view is that they are de stabilising the club. The media smell a story and are going hell for leather. Rafa shouldn't gone for the owners in public (unless he felt there was no other option) and in doing so he put himself in great danger of getting the sack.
  15. Good news re: Rafa if true as well.
  16. That fella off Corrie that smokes crack. Easy. Ask me another.
  17. They probably got called out a few times to him going to ground. The diving c***.

    rafa

    I feel sick. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/arti...amp;ito=newsnow
  19. The interest rates essentially. I'm guessing it'll have been performing so far. It would leave us in limbo re the stadium, players and probably mean the end of Rafa. f*** thats dire! I guess I was half hoping their hand would be forced. Even though we have no idea what a new buyer would be like. Crazy.
  20. Cheers. But if they can't refinance their loan, it won't be theirs to sell. So they'll be backed into a corner. I'm not sure if it would work like a bankruptcy, where the receivers only have to get a fair price for an asset. Was hoping the might be someone with a bit of corp finance experience who might know. Thanks though.
  21. So they'd flog it before 28th Feb..... Which puts a buyer in the driving seat basically?
  22. Just wondered if anyone had considered or had any insight into what happens IF G & H can't refinance? I think I read somewhere the club goes to RBS, the current lender. Is that correct? Does that class as administration, or do they just take control? If it were to go to RBS, would they look be looking for a profit on their loan, or could someone buy the club at the same price, or even a lower price? Be interested if anyone has any info?
  23. I don't disagree with any of that, except to say only some of the domestic performances have been appalling. But not up to the standards we all want. I just don't think getting rid of the manager is the way to do it. And I think what has gone on behind the scenes, or certainly what appears to have gone on, is worthy of a club like Newcastle, or dare I say Chelsea and Spurs. And I don't think Rafa deserves that, I really don't. The performances seem especially shocking since the stuff with the owners has spilled out. We'll never know the extent to which it has affected the players and the manager. What's gone on isn't f***ing right, and its about more than the current manager and a run of s***ty performances.
  24. Totally agree, it is the money you are right, the attitudes of the players, the gulf between the fans and the players. Do you honestly think that fans were as knee jerk as the posters we seen on here even as much as 3 years ago though Wayne? Its like a Newcastle forum on here these days. (I've never been on one, but its how I imagine it'd be). I really don't. It was way more positive on here then. That's how it seemed to me. I can remember periods under Paisley where we were poor for weeks. Maybe the difference as you say is at least the players looked like they were trying and they wanted to play.
  25. Yawn. Wouldn't know a tactic if a box of them was rammed up your a***. 2 european cup finals in 3 years was a fluke obviously.
