Certainly be a decent squad player for us, been on form lately! Not sure he has the quality to play regularly in a title challenging team but if he can keep how he is playing up he would certainly be a good squad player (5th choice centre mid) if you we can bring an M'Vila type in, still unsure on Adam. Gerrard M'Vila type Lucs Merieles Aquliani / Adam Shelvey Spearing Good mix, excellent depth.

I'm firmly in the Kuyt camp now, I've been in and out of it a few times but I think he has been nothing but exceptional lately. Well deserved. Especially for the big games.

I'm quiety confident about this and going in with the attitude that if we pick up 3 points it is a very nice bonus and if we dont it keeps them in the hunt to pip the mancs. I think 4th is an outside possibility, its just gutting we could have beat west brom or wigan or west ham to really give us a chance.

Nope, but as close as you can get with this Barca team and the Real one is probably the second best in Europe.

Him and Carroll going for the ball from a Downing cross would s*** most defenders right up Good player, would be better than Jova / Cole as a squad player and if we could get him fairly cheap (Spurs paid a mere £2m) for him then would be a decent upgrade.

All good to me. Slim has been listed as the world's richest man before and shareholders with that money (and publicity) can only be a good thing.

Indeed, but we have got enough of the other types of the players - the game changers who have that top quality and until we do I dont think such signings are going to get us to that extra level. I would prefer Marveux on a free and then a major winger ala Hazard / Young.

MUCH prefer Young, although both would be just fine. He can certainly cross a ball.

Wouldnt need to be shopping for a left back this summer if we could. Love him and Agger to bits, my fave two our defenders, shame they have both read the Darren Anderton self help book of avoiding footballing injuries.

Definitely Faultless debut and was majorly encouraged by both his defending and his keeping of the ball, looks very comfortable on it which is a major, major plus going forward as I'd love our 1st 11 to have have this quality rather than seeing us hoof away possession. Am looking forward to seeing more of him, hopefully he'll start there for the rest of the season, he could the wind up any of the Arsenal players with tackling like that. Be very interested to see what he is like going forward, his crossing and his link up play higher up the pitch in the games to come.

In the second half last night there were times when we had a three up top that looked like: Kuyt Suarez Carroll This had Kuty dropping back and covering and running round like a mad man to great effect, Suarez playing centrally, not giving them a moments piece and then dropping into space when we won the ball looking for space and Carroll leading the line and moving into the middle when we had the ball. It seems to be all about moving into space, working harding and giving defenders nightmares by not have true set positions (especially Suarez who has a load of freedom to great effect) with Carroll leading the line and doing it f***ing well. I loved watching it as striker, was awesome stuff.

Half that sounds about right, reckon we'd get him for £8m.

Me too, was in shock, but I couldnt be happier with the deals now - shame we couldnt have got a couple more in, but there is always the summer.

And it's interesting to hear people's opinions when they talk about a player not joining us because of champs league, its all relative - Suarez is a top player, he knew of our very strong interest early on and proceeded to say "I only want Liverpool", this knowing we werent in the champs league. If you are Eden Hazard currently playing for Lille in France and Liverpool come in for you with a hefty wage rise, a promise of being a member of the first 11 and a very exciting 'project' are people saying that isnt going to be attractive to you? If we are competing with Barca/Madrid it would obviously be difficult to get him but if not? I think we would have a decent enough chance. Its not as simple as "Are you in the champs league? No? Well i'm not joiinng you then." as a few are a making it out.
