Think we need some top, top quality in the wing / attacking midfield department if we are going to challenge next year and two out of Mata / Young / Hazard with Marveaux as back up on a free would be ideal.

He's a good player Downing, who has been putting in good performances without setting the world alight for a number of years. Mata and Eden Hazard are excellent players who IMHO would be great for us, and better for us than Downing. If we got both of then, and Im convinced it's possible, then a think a crack at the league next year wouldn't be out if the question. With Marveaux as back up. Barton, no chance, can't believe their has been about three pages of weekend debate on him. Jordan Henderson would be much more plausible in FSG thinking.

If true then it is a f***ing excellent signing - him and Suarez behind Carroll plus Gerrard in the mix and that is some attack. IF and its a big IF we can pull off this Hazard deal on top of Mata then my word it would be one exciting season
