I have my legs, fingers, arms, toes all crossed that we sign Enrique for the LB position, he is a class act. Clichy has been dodgy for nearly three years so what would be the point in that? Much greater risk. The Newcastle fans love Enrique, the Arsenal fans hate Clichy... No brainer.

Nail on the head there, exactly my feeling too and been thinking that for a while, I'd take either as a scondary winger signing - as long as the 1st is a match winner like Juan Mata, Eden Hazard etc. And the major, major difference between Pennent and N'Zogbia is there relative goal threats, NZog has one.

I think N'Zgobia is very talented, would definitely give us directness, pace and skill from the wing that we dont have now. My only question would be if today's reports are to be believe why the hell would he choose Newcastle over us? That would leave me questioning his mental capabilities.

Me too, would be less of an issue if we signed Mata too. I actually think we'll sign Mata and Nzogbia and not Downing, but only time will tell.

Is the correct answer. IMHO We also need another game changer at the level of Suarez, Mata addresses this.

I'd take Nzogbia over Downing. There, I said it. Lampard went for £11m. Henderson + Jones + Wickham = A very happy boy.

Add to that the potential signing of Enrique and all being well it is the RB and LB positions boxed off for the next 10 years, which is excellent.

Be great wouldnt it, I'd feel confident going into every game that we could knock a few past anyone. Options. And as Tony said the scum's, chelsea's, city's squad players cost around that much (and in city's case more). I do wonder who we will sign, whether it is Nzogbia or Downing for one example, its all very intriguing already...

Think we need a Mata / Hazard type player on top of the lists have been mentioned in the last few pages to really push on and add that special bit of quality on top, can see us going far with a front three of: Suarez - The Big Geordie - Mata/Hazard

I honestly dont think anyone reeeeeally knows what is going on, all just guesswork (probably some foundation to some of it). Its going to be one exciting summer however you look at it and I think we'll have the biggest net spend we've ever had, these guys mean business 'winning' being their faviourite word. I expect at least one totally left field signing, I'm hoping for something like this: Mata Hazard / Young / Gervinho Matudi Adam Enrique Jones / Dann But I bet no one on here could guess right come September 1st, no one.
