Agreed on all of that Leo, especially your assessment of Torres. One thing I do think is critical for our season is bringing in a striker today if he goes, unless Suarez can do that job until the end of the season, which is far from perfect as he certainly isnt a Torres type number 9. Llorente would be ideal, in fact if I could pick anyone it would be him, but I tjhink the chances of getting him are very slim at this stage. Negredo isnt in the same class as him. Hulk would be another interesting option although I'd question again whether he could play the traditional centre forward role. There would be nothing sweeter in this world (Rhianna aside) than us using this money to make our squad that good it overtakes Chelsea's next season and knocks that (potential) t*** back into the Europe league... On a side note I cannot wait to see Suarez in a red shirt, very excited.

Would love AA back, but I think Juve would be stupid to pass him us at 16m euros now after the season he is having. The midfield performance he gave against Pompey last season was one of the best I've seen and he is such a classy player, was genuinely gutted when he went on loan as thought he could have been an ace card this season. Having him, Gerrard, Merieles, Lucas as midfield options would be excellent. You wouldnt get the ball off them.

Agree with all of that and the original poster - he has been superb. Warnock, if he came, would be our third choice left back now, so there really isnt any point - Aurelio is a cut above him and Johnson has been superb. He gives us an amazing attacking threat going forward and cutting in on his right foot is giving teams a real worry as he can hit them as he done last night. He does strangely look better defensively on that side, which is mad really, but maybe it is the higher need for concentration that is helping him here. Excellent player.
