I f***ing love it. Can we please play them three in central midfield for the next century? Literally is the best central midfield in the world - there is not better, go on try!! And with Lucas as back-up = YES!! If we bought a 'world class' player for the right attacking position (where Kuyt is now) and kept Babel growing into the left side role then we are quite frankly set my friends.

Same formation, same team set-up. Benni in for Kuyt (think he would be better there anyway) Arbeloa in for Sami (much more attacking fullback and sami gets a rest)

Its funny cause this position seems to suit him more now - his 'hard work' can be used to better effect. But this position would also be almost ideal for Benniyoon - who IMHO would provide much more creativity and dre I say it, goal threat. Dirky has played decent for Dirky these last few games, but I think once Benni gets his chance there (hopefully on Weds) he can really make the position his own. The systems also suits Xabi, Masch, Stevie, Babel and Torres - what a great, great 5 players to have in your side at once too, SHABBA!! My Bluenose friend was drooling over us and he's a c***.

I would beg to differ that in certain games it most certainly HAS been the problem (Villa, Barnsley, Wigan - theres loads more I just cant be arsed to mention them all). But agree with the rest for sure... Looks like the penny has dropped with regards to rotation, shame it didnt in Augist really...

That probably goes for Nemeth as well in comparison with 3 out of out 4 strikers!

I'd rather: Carling Cup - Spurs League - Arsenal FA Cup - Portsmouth UEFA Cup - Anyone but EFC or Spurs Champions League - Liverpool 4th Place - Everton We win ol' big ears (which would piss on anyone), the Mancs win nothing and neither do Chelski and we can laugh for years at Everton finishing in 4th and NOT getting into the Euro Cup cause of us winning the Champs League hahaha!!

:thumbs: :thumbs: I've been thinking this practically ever since young Rafa came here and have been wondering for the last 3 and a half years when he was actually gonna use the bloody thing. I totally agree with your assessment and the players we need to buy to improve it, Babel, give time in that position could blossom into something a wee bit deadly - and yeah I think we need to fill the other side with someone pretty much outstanding, I actually think Benniyoon could do a pretty fine job there at the moment (plus he gives us a treat of goals too) - Torres seems to suit it well and Gerrard in a free role is perfect. We have two out of Mascherano, Xabi and Lucas to sit between breaking up and dictating the play which works rather well. Its pretty much spot on - add those new players (I would certainly include a top full back in that - think Arbeloa would be my personal choice for the other side) and we could certainly do some serious damage next season.

Thats a bit negative considering our record in the last three years in Europe, we now have arguable a better squad. Yes we are struggling in the league, which can be put down to a s***load of things but in Europe over two legs we are a match for anyone. Chin up son.

I'm starting to doubt whether we'll ever see Insua apart from on trips to that lovely place called Warrington. He's look the s*** everytime I've seen him and its clear left back is a tragic area of our team, he's certainly worth a place against these dykes or whatever them are nicknamed for sure
