Quinn scored his first league goal for Arsenal against us in December 1985 when he was 19. It was the only goal of the game and it took me a long time to appreciate him after that.

He's actually been better with his feet than his head in front of the opponent's goal the past couple of seasons. Can't remember him missing any sitters. I'd say it's down to the cool head provided by experience. Hmm, hang on, by that logic Moro should be burying them by the loads...

I'm not expecting him to pass like Alonso. I know he's a ballwinner. I'm asking him NOT to lose possession so often immediately after winning the ball. He can pass sideways or backwards as long as it's to a team mate. I am not expecting him to perform defence-splitting passes.

That's it in a nutshell. Too often he wins the ball only to lose it again. Footie and long distance running are different things though.

You missed the question mark I had there. If you quote me, do it properly please. I just happen to be wondering about this insult feast beyond all proportions, there must be some underlying reason e.g. for one of the 'senior posters' (ahem, not THE one) slagging off the player in question in, what, a dozen different threads. 'Getting things off your chest' and then some, jeez...
