  1. How many Barca players did you spot crying last night? No smiles on their faces either... Must be a continental thing, you feel sorry for the losers?

    Alves

My guess is he was expelled from school on April 30th and decided to take it out on us. Poor boy... (who's now on ignore BTW)

    Alves

Yeh, I've figured there must be more than one person contributing to the chunk cause. (And we all know whose nickname rhymes perfectly with his/hers/theirs... )
  4. What was it, 7 goals in the last 11 games? And some of them were pretty important too. I rest my case. And his first touch is no more 'woeful' than any other of our players. Look at the way he took his goal in Final, brilliant first touch! I bet he scored 'without thinking'

    Defoe

Looks like this might drag on for a few pages yet. So, FWIW, I'm only on page eight (8) at the moment and you can be too if you change your personal forum settings... My opinion on the issue at hand? I trust Rafa in this. IIRC Jol had some issues first with Keane and then with Defoe, he's been underplayed this season and his goal haul does not really reflect his true value.
  6. It's Flo-Po... Edit: Missed by a minute...
  7. Weren't the two situations pretty similar though? Weren't we putting on the pressure in the same way when Scaloni kicked the ball out? So the game continued more or less the same way as it would have done originally. I need to check the video when I get home...
  8. I thought Gerrard's celebration looked uncharacteristically c0cky... It was a solo effort, but still, all that tapping his name on the back instead of the crest on the chest... Actually, I was expecting the cradle celebration routine...
  9. In the semi vs. Boro Ashton was involved in most if not all of West Ham's scoring chances. He looked miles better in the air than Crouch, for example. He really caught my eye as THE danger man and news of him missing the final sounded good to me...
  10. I remember that incident. I saw the match on telly, must have been 1977 or thereabouts cause Souness joined us in January 1978, didn't he? The other incident that I still remember from that particular match was the bionic carrot's (Fairclough) cracking opening goal. We went on to win 2-0.
  11. Unless you are a qualified doctor, you should not make half-hearted comments on other people's (especially pro footballers') injuries. And I'm not his n:o 1 fan, he just deserves a bit more respect, that's all.
  12. I double that
  13. Yep, bizarre to you for sure...
  14. kkgas27ATgmail.com Please!
  15. Romario's guess was Moro...
  16. I saw an interview of Sami after the match and he was surprisingly calm and subdued compared to the Sami in Istanbul. Wonder if he took the penalty miss a bit too hard? Or was it just another day at the office...
  17. Sorry if Romario, but I'm too drunk trawl through all the posts here... My guess is Morientes...
  18. That's the way I see it too. The only worry for me is his off-field behaviour.
  19. I heard his brother Vincent is much better, a real artist (and therefore spells his name a bit differently: Wal Cott... or was it Coat...)

    Cisse

Source? Why should a 'Cisse might stay' poster have source when the 'Cisse's defo going' side does not present any?
  21. Koogan

    Cisse

Cisse also scored in Istanbul. Oh, I forgot, penalties don't count...

    Cisse

Can you tell us which goals actually count then? We didn't get many goals against the other top teams this season so most of our strikers' goals came against inferior teams...
  24. That must be the Theo-ree Coat?
  25. Koogan

    Cisse

I must have blinked on both occasions...
