Jari Litmanen for Malmo FF, apparently (I didn't see it unfortunately). Didn't score but made two. Converted a late match-winning peno in the previous match, though.

I quickly tried to find the exact figures for Cisse for the league season and according to the Football Anorak site (dunno how reliable that is) he had played 1711 minutes before the Pompey match scoring 8 goals. Those minutes amount to 19 full games. He played less than ten minutes in the last game and scored one. so that amounts to 19 games / 9 goals and for my money that is a decent return for someone who was not an out and out striker in most occasions.

Not long ago Rafa also stressed the value of speed. Sven picked Walcott without seeing him play once because he's quicker than Henry. So let's keep Cisse and get Owen and Bellamy as well... As for football brains and being offside, quite often the passer's timing can be lacking as well but only the one in an offside position looks silly...

Found a tape with the match on it (this thread is about the FA Cup Final, right?). Didn't remember the comedy defending from our lot, Brucie having a go at Beglin and Hansen/Lawro looking shaky at times at the beginning of the second half. Molby was class but wasn't he always. Wonder if Johnston had a case to claim our first goal? Also found a tape with a league match against Boro on it. Wondered why I'd saved it. Watched it. Robbie bagged four. Understood.

i expect a better attitude from our supporters and i hate the fact that a player who is obviously lacking in confidence is slagged off for fun in almost every thread, even worse than opposing players - don't see how that can encourage team spirit either. ...as for worth, how about 3 p (as in 'points') in the WHU game... You do realise that you're referring to the World Cup Winners (1998) and the Euro Champions (1984, 2000). A bit more success in recent times than England... Marseille, Monaco and Lyon haven't done too shoddily either in the past years...

I can't see what's wrong with one of our players having a good game and scoring a couple of good goals. But then, I only saw the highlights...

Don't know avbout Sunday, but on Sat he delivered one good cross and almost intercepted a pass to Terry, which would have seen him clear through. BUT he didn't leap about like a headless chicken (because Rafa told him not to...). Enough reasons to be mad at him?
