best feeling since beating west ham last year, logging in day after day reading through dispiriting transfer tosh all summer with the Coutinho cloud overshadowing our first few games, it's nice to be now looking forward to our next match....

Koeman whingeing that Lovren should have got 2nd yellow for reacting angrily to Barkleys challenge?!?!? also, what happened here?:- "...I've just seen a clip of the full-time whistle and Lucas and Jordan Henderson were furious with Everton's Idrissa Gueye - not sure what that was all about but Henderson had to be pulled away...." (from BBC) did think they might try some bulls*** at full time, the bitter cloggers

A friend of mine (southampton fan) has been commissioned to write a book looking at the past 25 years of Englosh football, since the Premier League came into being, he's looking for contributions, feel free to write anything here, or email him direct (details below) He's keen to emphasise: 1) That it's about what has happened to football in that time; not a 'celebration' 2) Bournemouth, Bradford, Barnsley, Blackpool are as important as any of the 47 clubs that have played in the EPL at some point Not needing lots...quick fire notes would be better than long passages of text. Contributions Sought from Genuine Football FansI am working on a book looking at the first 25 years of the Premier League, which reflects on the fortunes of all teams who have played a part – that’s 47 teams in total including Wimbledon, Bradford, Barnsley, Swindon and even Portsmouth. All contributors will have their name listed next to their team and have the option to buy a much reduced copy of the final version (although purchase will not be compulsory and for major contributors I’ll try to secure free copies)What I’m after could be extensive or quite limited. One Coventry fan, for instance, simply said “oh, I remember Moldovan was something special” and therein lay something for me to investigate. Ideally I’d be after notes, prose or quotes to about 1 page in total, covering things like the following:Recollections of watching your team in the PL (although going to matches is not a pre-requisite for involvement)Any memories from this time which are poignant, interesting, funny etcExamples of the above might be songs, best and worst players, best and worst days/matchesQuirky stuff that only you would know aboutMore than a page welcome, but I cannot guarantee to include everything. If I quote you directly, I will include your name in the text as well as the club by club acknowledgement. If you can help, please contact me on lloydpettiford@gmail.com to ask questions or simply attach stuff about your club. I will be collecting information until at least 31/1/2017.Thank you for considering this, Lloyd

its like a dangling carrot, we obviously won't do our bit but if we could just get a run going again I still think there's scope for 71/72 points taking 4th..... City yesterday was uber annoying, incorrect offside clean through for Villa at 2-2 then up the other end for an 89th minute winner. they'll probably even themselves out the season though......

re Houllier and Benitez having a style after 3 years, neither lost their clearly best (and world class) player after 2 years in charge. I'm not happy with where we're at, but to compare the situations in this way is unfair imo.

Blatter finally called out for what he really is........ http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/32342080

"I speak to Brendan on good terms" "There's nothing bad to say or think about Brendan" "Everyone's dream growing up is seeing themselves in an away kit somewhere in a sunny country" "quite flattering" to be linked with the Gunners "If, at that point in time, I was offered a contract, I most definitely would have signed straight away, probably for far less money than being said now," he said. "I just think the timing was a bit off." So hates the manager, desperate to leave and go anywhere, would have stayed if we'd carry on winning every game, for ever "I would never want the fans to think bad of me"

LOL same here. How can they think that reflects well on them?

positive is today should knock spurs (who have what looks a p1ss easy run in) out of race for 4th. negative is the Mancs played well, but they were at home and they still have a very difficult looking run in. Always thought we needed to beat the Mancs at home, just ramps up the importance of doing that (and of course beating swansea tomorrow)

"one more!" (as in pass, usually when I want the ball played quicker out to either wing) Also, as if they can see what I see and can pick the pass "here!" (whilst pointing) or "there!" (again pointing) probably quite annoying for someone stood next to me.....

explains tonight I guess......

If we get £30m for those 4 I'll eat my hat even in this market, if Reina is worth £2m........we are utter 5h**e at getting good money for sales.
