  2. The very same. Hero of the 4-4 home draw against mighty Chesterfield. Still remember his debut against Norwich and it was clear straight away he was going to fit right in with the rest of that side.
  3. I get nervous when we are linked with Hungarian midfielders, after some bad experiences in the early 90's.

  5. Never understood why the Brucie Grobbelaar (in our goal) one hasn't been adapted.
  6. I haven't got a clue Dave. I can only think it's because he's got a name that resonates with people - a bit like DJ Snuggles if such a person existed. If Spoony had called himself Knifey he'd have never got the job - I am certain of it.
  7. He is a bad bellend I'm afraid. One of those types who you would want to avoid talking footy with as you would end up smacking him. Listened to him on the way back last night - I was amazed by the number of times he would start constructing an argument without actually having a clue as to the point he was trying to make. Very low on the old intelligence.

  9. I never actually saw him play - my opinion of him is based entirely on that Albert Stubbins song.

  19. "Having the fans up close can lift the team," said striker Robbie Keane. Yes, it will also give them a great view of your amazing airshots, pointless backheels, missed sitters and sitting on your a*** with your hands outstretched.
  20. Regular hamstring injuries often result from back problems. The lad should go and see a good Cairopractor.

  22. He is one bad bulls***ter that fella. Using one piece of information already in the public domain to leverage a story that tells us precisely nothing new.
  23. If we do a thread about centre halfs, he would move up (should that be down?) in to the bad signings category.
  24. Surely a tackles per minute column is crucial - Ronaldo would walk it. What about players who put in the most half arsed tackles that have no chance of actually winning the ball, but will result in yellow cards? A well merited accolade for Lucas...
  25. The problem, since Nicol, is a combination of; Bad signings e.g. Josemi, Dossena Bad Luck e.g. Jones, Babbel Players Out of Position e.g. Traore, Harkness, Mickey Marsh Players that didn't work hard enough on their game: Riise Carragher was a more effective left back than right back I thought, but rather like Nicol he has been a victim of his own versatility. I think there is a general dearth of top class full backs - can't think of many sides with better full backs than Arbeloa and Aurelio/Insua.
