vish Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 (edited) is b******s. I've made a point of watching him receive the ball since this nonsense started, and he usually has very good touch when receiving the ball. He might be a bit lightweight.. but so are all our other strikers + Garcia... Tired of it being used as another stick to beat him with. That is all. Edited March 13, 2006 by Vish
allez les rouges Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 he couldnt trap a dead rat in a phone box
Bailo Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 There are a few people in our squad with better touches, but most are on a par with Cisse. He really isn't that bad.
WillG Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 He looks terrible, he sounds awful . . . he'll go a long way! *snaps Kit-Kat*
floyd Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 he couldnt trap a dead rat in a phone boxCan't trap a bag of cement2nd touch is a tackle
Ratters Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 I found his first touch strange sometimes its great other times its woefull. Sometimes he link up play is even quite good I think he has promise shame we are not after promise but as it stand a "PROPER" run in his prefered position would be good.
Red_Rob Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 He still hasn't been given an extended run in the side as a striker. Considering the ammount of leeway an underperforming Morientes is shown, Cisse should be given a run of four or five games up front to prove himself.
Tones Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 Sorry, but its true. Hes a poor quality footballer.

Aye we need to be more direct and have a bit of pace to scare other ppls defense.
Guest Scot Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 he can trap a ball farther than I can kick it out of my hands [/sean]
RedMarauder Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 he couldnt trap a dead rat in a phone box Old style red ones or new open plan versions?
vish Posted March 13, 2006 Author Posted March 13, 2006 why split hairs?he's just s**** and that is that. But our other s*** strikers look really bad at the mo'. Maybe he'll be less s***, or something.
Guest neuklon Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 Watched him a lot at Auxerre and he looked a class act, almost unrecognisable from our winger. Under a different manager and tactics I could imagne hm being more than useful. In Crouch and Moro we have two players that did well in France but both had a midfield playing to their strengths.
Clay Davis Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 In Crouch and Moro we have two players that did well in France but both had a midfield playing to their strengths. Cisse but yeah I agree.
Whitey Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 But our other s*** strikers look really bad at the mo'. Maybe he'll be less s***, or something. To be fair (and I'm not a fan) he's one of 4 options we currently have, and has been given the least opportunities of the 4. None are scoring so I don't see why we don't stick him up front (or with Robbie) and give him a go. I don't seem to remember him being given a run there since his broken leg, while Moro and Crouch (neither of whom could score in a brothel right now) get runs. Bizarre to say the least.
allez les rouges Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 Old style red ones or new open plan versions? good point, i think he should have the benefit of the doubt. to be fair to him, when the ball has been played to him whilst on teh right, his first touch has been ok. its his one trick after that which is the problem. however with his back to goal, he never moves of the ball. consequently everytime the ball comes to him he has a hairy great ape up his @rse which is enough for anyone to lose control of the ball. if he watched fowler a little more and moved more so that he can come of his man and receive the ball without being under pressure he would be 10 times a better player.
IgPig Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 (edited) He's inconsistent when controlling the ball. Sometimes he can kills it dead, other times it bounces off him. Its luck rather than technique with him. His second touch, the one where he actually has to think about what he is going to do with ball, is woeful. Edited March 13, 2006 by hamstrung
stressederic Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 Old style red ones or new open plan versions? What the hell kind of freaky rats do you get in your town?
RedMarauder Posted March 14, 2006 Posted March 14, 2006 What the hell kind of freaky rats do you get in your town? The kind that are particular about which style of phone box they die in
Fagan Posted March 14, 2006 Posted March 14, 2006 I think Cisse is rubbish. but i have to say, its pretty bad that moro, crouch and fowler continue to misfire every single game and yet cisse doesnt get a chance to start a game or play back to back games yet rafa continues to put us through witnessing the painful efforts of moro and crouch.
Stevie H Posted March 14, 2006 Posted March 14, 2006 he wasn't rubbish when we signed him. he had tons of potential. that he's become such a crap player with us must be an indictment of either a) cissé himself / his attitude or b) our coaching staff / techniques not getting the best out of him.
